Just after the Dark Souls 3 network test, From Software had some more news to share. The news was posted to the PlayStation blog, where it was revealed that the development studio will be working with Sony to release a game of the year edition of Bloodborne.

The new game of the year edition will be available both in-store and online from November 27. If you haven't yet had the chance to play Bloodborne, the new game of the year edition will give you a good chance to check it out. As you could have expected, the new edition will include the base Bloodborne game and a copy of the upcoming DLC expansion.

The DLC expansion for Bloodborne is called The Old Hunters and it includes a huge amount of new content to the game. In Sony's new blog post, The Old Hunters was described as the DLC expansion to "challenge players to explore entirely new environments, including a monolithic clock tower, filled with Bloodborne's traditional blend of risk, reward and frightening boss encounters."

Sony further went to describe The Old Hunters in their blog post about the game of the year edition of Bloodborne. Considering that the DLC expansion is the only selling point of the new version over the original copy of the game, Sony's done a good job to convince players to purchase it.

"In addition to new environments, you'll also gain access to new outfits and weapons to bolster your beast-battling arsenal, including a fearsome new ranged weapon called Simon's Bowblade. On top of this, The Old Hunters also offers players the ability to go native and transform into terrifying beasts."

If you already own Bloodborne it would work out cheaper to purchase the DLC on it's own, but if you do not yet, the game of the year option would be cheaper than purchasing both the DLC and a new copy of Bloodborne.
