More details have been given on the release date for the next NFS game, Need for Speed Rivals, and surprisingly it has now been confirmed as a day one launch title.

It was previously announced that Need for Speed Rivals would release around November for both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, but it has now been confirmed by EA to be released as a day-one launch title for Europe, and will be available a week after the US launch date of the PlayStation 4.

This means that if you're in Europe you'll be able to get Need for Speed Rivals on Xbox One on November 22nd, and for PS4 on November 29th.

For the United States however, the launch date for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of Need for Speed Rivals is November 22nd, which is one week after the PS4's US launch date on the 15th.

The game will also be available for current gen consoles on November 19th, however due to compatibility problems with the Frostbite Engine and the Wii U, the game will not be making its way to the new Nintendo console at any point.

Need for Speed Rivals is an open world racer that allows players to play through various missions and challenges as either a cop or a street racer. Each side of the law will offer different race variations and challenges, and will payout different rewards after game challenges are complete.
