Dr Disrespect Getting TV Series

The 6’8”, two-time champ Dr. Disrespect has signed an agreement with Skybound Entertainment that’ll see the development of a possible television show featuring the legendary gamer.

Doc, who’s real name is Guy Beahm, announced the deal this week with the studio, which was founded by Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead comic series. The series would be a narrative style affair, which would explain the origins of how Doc came to be.

The Doc has been one of the most popular streamers in the world, generating millions of viewers and millions of dollars in revenue from his Twitch channel. He’s also gone on to sign endorsement deals with the likes of G-Fuel, generating additional revenue streams.

Doc’s channel took off after the release of Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, where his endearing and brash persona mixed well with killing off other players. He’s also a big streamer of Call of Duty games, as well as the occasional day of Fortnite matches. He oftentimes will partner up with random players, and when some recognize the two-time, viewers can almost feel the excitement.

It’s not known what style the show will be shot in, with Beahm saying that there’s a possibility that it’ll be an animated series. Still, we’ve gotta admit that we’re excited to see where a possible show with Doc’s origins could go. We also have a pretty good idea who one of the show’s chief advertisers could be. “Gillette: The best a man can get!”
