Whilst there is already a lot of future DLC content up for grabs for Battlefield 1 players, DICE are planning to release a free playable map in December. The new map will not cost players a single penny, and even those that have not purchased the season pass will get access to the map the day it is released.

The new map coming to Battlefield 1 in December is called Giant's Shadow and it will be themed after the Battle of Selle, which took place along the Selle River in France. This particular battle happened in 1918 for 7 days from October 17th to October 25th. The Battle of Selle was the very beginning of the end of World War 1.

On top of announcing the new Battlefield 1 map, DICE released an infographic sharing details about the recent Battlefield 1 betas that happened before the game was released. The infographic shared details about total participating players and player class selection. Out of the 13.2 million players that took part in the beta, 30% of players took the assault class, 28% took the scout class, 21% took the support class and a surprising 10% took the medic class.

During the beta, a total of 28.9 melee kills were made and 62.2 million kills were made from the back of a horse. This compared to just 23.8 million vehicular splatter kills.

Now that the game has released, we're definitely going to see more interesting stats and infographics from DICE based on the full version of Battlefield 1.
