How many lives do you really get when gaming?

Addicted to video games

Weve all heard the warnings that parents give us in regards to playing video games, obesity, laziness, a drop in grades, violent and aggressive behavior. But now thanks to a 30-year-old man in China there is now one more reason to add to their list, a cause of death.

The 30-year-old man collapsed and fell into a coma in an internet café just outside of Beijing. According to witnesses he had been gaming online nonstop for three days. During those three days the man consumed very little food or drink and was getting absolutely no sleep whatsoever.

Not only did this man prove how sever online gaming can be, but he also racked up a bill over 10,000 Yuan ($1,500) on internet gaming in just 30 days.

The police have ruled out homicide and they have now removed several computers from the café for further investigation on the specific causes of death.

Maybe there is a bigger issue with addictions to online gaming than we realize. But at the same time, one or two hours here and there doesnt nearly compare to the addiction of playing for about 72 hours.
