If you didn't know already, May 15th marks a very special day for the Gran Turismo series, and Sony are going to giving some kind of announcement to celebrate it.

The 15th May marks the 15th anniversary of the Gran Turismo series and although Sony will probably use this time to go over their achievements with the franchise, they've also said in press invitations that they want to discuss what the series will bring for the future. The event will take place at the Silverstone Circuit in the UK, and Kazunori Yamauchi will make some interesting announcements about the future of the brand.

The official statement from Sony is as follows:

"The event will be a celebration of all that Gran Turismo has come to represent to a community of millions all over the world, and will involve many of the car manufacturers who have been part of that incredible 15 year journey. At the event, Kazunori Yamauchi will also be making some exciting announcements about the future of the brand."

It's pretty obvious that Gran Turismo 6 will be revealed at the event, and after the long wait, we may finally see when the game will be released, and what it will consist of.
