Lionhead new IPWhilst part of Lionhead is currently hard at work on the brand new multiplayer-centric Fable Legends, new information suggests that Peter Molyneux's ex game development studio will also be working on another project, completely separate from the Fable universe.

According to Lionhead creative director Gary Carr, there is currently a team of eight working on trying to "build the next big IP." Carr mentioned that his team is throwing around a few prototypes, as well as planning a few games that could be added to the Fable Legends experience.

Whilst it's probably going to be a while before we actually see any official progress by Lionhead on the new IP, they seem pretty confident about going forward. New studio head, John Needham recently mentioned that "The primary purpose of the group is to come up with new game IP, and hopefully this time next year we'll have something exciting to talk about," when asked about the new team of eight working within the Lionhead studio.

Needham continued by talking about Lionhead's history, "There is great IP in Lionhead's history, it's just spotty who owns what. Clearly we're going to be investing most of the studio's efforts into Fable, but we'll have some new IP to share with you soon."

I think it will be exciting to see what Lionhead have in store for us next. Even without Peter Molyneux at the helm of the ship, there's still a lot of potential for the British based development studio.
