Marvel Vs Capcom 4 Hitting in 2017

We've got big news today! Marvel Vs Capcom 4 is getting a 2017 release.

Not only is Marvel Vs Capcom now slated for a 2017 release, but we may get a first glimpse and a proper announcement at the Capcom Cup later this year. During the event, we'll most likely hear about some of the fighters we'll see both from the Capcom camp and the Marvel team.

According to rumors, the Marvel Vs Capcom 4 lineup may not feature any X-Men, at least to begin with. A lot of the more iconic Street Fighter characters are expected to make an appearance, and those that are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This would include those that are part of the Avengers; The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, etc, as well as a number of potential villains. For now, we're unsure whether Spidey will be included in the mix, but it'd be nice to see him say hello. If the Marvel vs Capcom team does go ahead with the cinematic universe then we'll most likely not see any appearances from the Fantastic Four universe either.

Even with a lack of Fantastic Four and X-Men characters, there is still a lot of room for a large roster for Marvel vs Capcom 4. We can't wait to hear more about the upcoming title. Make sure to check back here after Capcom Cup 2016 for updates and match results, highlights and final scores.
