If you've watched the trailer already, you'll know that the next Call of Duty game, set for release this year, will be Call of Duty: Ghosts, which has been rumored to launch on November 5th this year.

A few details have been given by Activision on the single player and multiplayer aspects that will be found within COD: Ghosts.

First of all, Ghosts will take place in the future, but soldiers will still make use of current technology, and this is because of a "major plot event" unveiled in the game.

Single player will also include more destructible scenery, although the dynamics on this hasn't been released. Multiplayer will apparently involve maps that allow players to make use of things found within the game such as traps, making the maps a lot more interactive than previous COD games.

The game is also being developed on a new "next-gen" engine according to Activision, and will be playable on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and next gen Microsoft and PlayStation consoles.

Executive producer of Infinity Ward, Mark Rubin, has said a few things about Ghosts as well. "Everyone was expecting us to make Modern Warfare 4, which would have been the safe thing to do. But we're not resting on our laurels."

"We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So we're building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players. We can't wait to share them with our community."

"Infinity Ward is going all-in to create the next generation of Call of Duty worthy of the world's greatest fans."
