Daylight Thriller Game

The next game by creator of the FPS title Blacklight Retribution is called Daylight, and it has been described to be a procedurally generated thriller with each playthrough containing new levels, thrills and puzzles to complete.

Details on the title are still pretty low key, but more information has come in this week about the game. Firstly, 1 minute's worth of gameplay content has been released in an IGN preview, and the developer gives a bit of information about the game as the gameplay is shown.

Secondly, the game has been confirmed for a set release in April, however details on whether it will be free or not have not yet been confirmed. Despite their publisher being a F2P publisher, I think Daylight will be a game developed on their own back, thanks to the support Blacklight Retribution has managed to give them, and for this reason I expect the game will have a price tag on it.

It looks strictly like a single player game, and I'm not sure how successful the title will be. It certainly sounds like it has a lot of replay value, but I'm wondering what kind of gameplay will draw in the crowds upon the launch of the game.

I expect we'll find a bit more out about Daylight later on in the year, closer to it's planned launch in April, from which point the game will be available on both PC and PlayStation 4.
