Resident Evil 3 Remake Coming in 2020

This year’s release of Resident Evil 2 Remake from Capcom was a stunning success, bringing in millions of dollars for the Japanese developer. Well, it appears that they’re not resting on their laurels, as rumors of a Resident Evil 3 Remake are getting louder and louder.

Multiple sources have claimed that they’re hearing a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is being developed, putting us in the boots of former S.T.A.R.S. agent Jill Valentine as she works to escape the doomed Raccoon City during the outbreak that takes place during Resident Evil 2.

The game was similar to the first two entries into the series but mixed in a dynamic where the Umbrella Corporation’s Nemesis bioweapon chases Jill throughout the campaign, becoming instantly more terrifying than any of the other zombies or monsters you encounter in the game.

Thus far we haven’t gotten any firm details on the rumored game, but it’s possible that the game could be launched in 2020, possibly seeing it as a cross-generation title, where it could star on the likes of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett in addition to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Without a doubt, we’re looking forward to this game, so we’re hoping the rumors are true. Capcom did a truly magnificent job with their RE2 remake, and we don’t doubt that they can hit it out of the park again with a new title that gives us equal parts nostalgia and pooping our pants.

We’ll be sure to let you know as we learn more about any details that leak.
