DayZ Standalone has taken the world by storm, and the game and it's mod have brought a whole new genre of games into the world of gaming. However, since it's release, we have yet to see a decent zombie survival game make it to consoles.
Sony plans to change that by releasing their game, H1Z1, which has ambitions to be the very best in open world apocalypse survival. It sounds like a very ambitious project, and last week I talked about how it would be unlikely to see it released anytime soon.
I was clearly wrong, and Sony Online Entertainment really want to push forward with this game. Last week, a live stream by the developers of H1Z1 made it to Twitch.TV, and it included around 50 minutes of real in-game gameplay footage.
Nothing was scripted, and we were literally subjected to the whole H1Z1 experience, or at least what was available of it at the time.
It look underdeveloped, and a little patchy on content, but this is what we've come to expect from a game

Square Enix has just grabbed the Trademark rights for the phrase "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" in the United Kingdom, and this could mean we've got a new upcoming Deus Ex title to look for. The trademark was filed on March 27th, so it could still be a while before we see or hear anything else about this new Deus Ex game, however Square Enix and Eidos Montreal did reveal earlier in October 2013 that they do have plans to release a new Deus Ex title for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
If you were enjoyed playing through Human Revolution, then you should be happy to hear that the upcoming Deus Ex game will be worked on by the same core team that worked through the last title, which was released in 2011.
Unsurprisingly, not much has been released for the new Deus Ex game, although there has been a concept art image showcased. (shown above.) Producer David Anfossi revealed that the art, "represents a 'ghetto-city' voluntarily built in order to separate the classes. The people in -

Creative Assembly have released plans on their upcoming survival horror video game set in the Alien world called Alien Isolation, and if everything goes to plan, the new game should be available this October.
Creative Assembly lead creative Alistair Hope released a statement saying, "We couldn't be happier to finally announce a date for Alien: Isolation. The reaction we have seen so far has been simply incredible, from the screams and shrieks to the cold sweats and racing hearts. It's the Alien game that we've always wanted to play and we can't wait to let everyone get their hands on it this fall."
Creative Assembly revealed the title at this years' EGX Rezzed on Saturday, and Creative, along with their publisher, SEGA, have high hopes for the title.
So far, not too much is known about the gameplay content, however it is clear that Alien Isolation will follow the story of Ellen Ripley’s daughter. Amanda Ripley will face various scares and thrills throughout the game,

Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 3 will be coming to the Xbox One, amidst concerns that the game has not given a proper introduction to players using Xbox consoles. Lead producer for Diablo 3, Alex Mayberry stated in an interview with VideoGamer that, "I don't know where we are with Microsoft right now so I can't really comment on what that contract looks like. The point is we are developing for Xbox One and PS4 simultaneously. We hit those major platforms and then our goal as a development team is to make them run."
"We have that pipeline worked out, and then Blizzard and Microsoft can work out whatever they work out."
Many fans have been interested in a Diablo 3 for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, especially seeing as the first expansion pack for the title, Reaper of Souls, was released earlier this week for PC and Mac.
Blizzard has also confirmed that there will be a bundle pack for the PlayStation 4 which will be named the Ultimate Evil Edition - this bundle

If you're wondering where the hell DriveClub has been, don't worry, it's been delayed for good reason. Sony has revealed that the developers currently working on DriveClub have gone back to the drawing board, in an attempt to ensure that the game is of it's best quality upon it's release.
Despite being planned as a launch title game, it has already been delayed once to early 2014, but seeing as we're already close to Q2 2014, it looks as if DriveClub has been delayed once more.
So far, no release date has been given, but previous rumors did suggest that the game would be ready for September. It's a shame to have to wait so long for such an anticipated title, but it really is for the best. So many AAA games are being released before they are fully ready, and it ruins the overall experience of the game.
If the developers that are working on DriveClub need extra time to refine the title to make sure the game plays and feels smooth, then so be it. We as gamers should learn

I mentioned a while before about how the digital era of video games isn't quite here, and the main reason for that is because games have got to the stage where they are so graphically advanced, and so full of content that they take up masses of storage space.
The following news should simply prove my point further that digital downloads will not be able to push the disc format to extinction for at least another 5-10 years, at least where the console scene is concerned.
The news is that Dead Rising 3 has just received a huge 13GB download update, and to be honest, we're not quite sure why. Xbox Studio manager tweeted out "Wow, a 13GB DR3 update? Holy ... good thing I have 110mbps."
Unfortunately for those that live in more rural areas, you may have to wait a few hours, or a day, before your update completes.
One possible reason for this huge 13GB update is that it will patch in the four upcoming DLC packs for Dead Rising 3, which would mean that when a player

Call of Duty has brought the world a type of gamer that likes to impress, and whether you're the guy with 1337 360 NoScope skills, or the person getting frustrated on the other end of the barrel, by the time Titanfall is on your console, it's going to be a different story.
A developer at Respawn Entertainment has spoke to the community about snipers, he started by stating that snipers will be an important part of Titanfall, but the nature of snipers in Titanfall is different to how they work in most modern military shooters, and the mechanics in Titanfall will make your COD snipers skills ineffective.
"Sniping is in the game, but due to how the game plays it's a pretty different animal than you'll

There's still no real information on what kind of game the new Mass Effect game will be, but BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn revealed that the game is now in a "playable state" and it feels "fresh, but recognizable."
It's already been confirmed that the new Mass Effect game won't be a direct sequel or prequel to the Commander Shephard series, and will instead focus on an entirely different story within the Mass Effect universe.
In fact, Commander Shephard and his crew won't play any part in the new Mass Effect game at all, and the gameplay will be entirely different to what we remember from the first trilogy.
Whilst this doesn't give much information about what kind of gameplay the new Mass Effect game will offer, it suggests that the game will offer a different gameplay experience to the action shooter RPG we've recognized in ME1, 2 and 3.
This could mean we could end up with a Mass Effect golfing game for all we know, but it's much more likely to involve

Titanfall devs, Respawn Entertainment aren't quite sure whether there will be a Titanfall Beta or not yet, but they are certainly considering it at this point in time. Vince Zampella, co founder at Respawn confirmed that they are "definitely thinking about it" when asked about a possible Titanfall beta, however at this point in time it's unclear what kind of access would be available for such a thing.
If a Beta does come about, it could be possible that it could be restricted to pre-orderers only, or it may end up being even stricter, but right now it's hard to speculate.
I think that it would be best for Respawn Entertainment to release a Titanfall Beta because with the massive scale of most FPS games these days, it's rare

Racing fans, you've got a real treat in-store this year. On top of the awe inspiring Drive Club, and the possibility of a new FlatOut game, you've now got the beautiful world of Project Cars to look forward to.
60 new screenshots have been released by Slightly Mad Studios, and they highlight the amazing graphical fidelity that will be found within Project Cars. If you thought Forza is good, then Slightly Mad Studios' Project Cars will definitely take your breath away.
I'm sure Slightly Mad probably put a lot of effort into making sure these screenshots showed the absolute best of the game, however they have revealed that everything has been done in-game, meaning
