I've always been a fan of the Just Cause franchise. Whilst Grand Theft Auto may always hold the top spot for the best open world third person franchise out there, Just Cause is known for it's huge expensive worlds that are often many times larger than other games, and it's great freefall and skydiving mechanics.
Just Cause 3 is set to make it' way to consoles in the new future, and some new screenshots show off some of the great mechanics we've come to love from the series making a triumphant return.
Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios posted a huge gallery of new screenshots for Just Cause 3, so there is a lot to gawk at, but there are a few screens that got my attention. An interesting showed the protagonist of Just Cause 3 riding an airborne car as it plummets to the ground.
Another image had an epic showcase of the great grappling mechanics that allow players to hitch on to any ride, whether it's on the road, in the sea or in the air. In this case it was a helicopter.

Since the launch of Killer Instinct for the Xbox One, the developers behind the game have been slowly releasing more content for it over time. Perhaps the most exciting part of any new content releases for Killer Instinct are the introduction of new characters, or more specifically in this case, the re-introduction of characters from the franchise that did not make it into the game at launch.
One such character is Riptor, and Microsoft Studios have just revealed their plans to bring him to the new Killer Instinct on the Xbox One. Riptor featured in the original Killer Instinct game, and is a hybrid between a human and a velociraptor. The character stands out from the crowd of other humanoid fighters in the game, not only for it's appearance, but for it's unique move set as well.
Riptor will be entering the new Killer Instinct as part of the Killer Instinct 2 DLC, which will put players back a total of $19.99 for the Combo Breaker Season 2 pack, and a total of $39.99 for the

When it comes to any news about Final Fantasy, there are often a lot of mixed feelings. Whilst there are certain games in the franchise that many gamers have come to despite, there are also timeless classics that everybody adores, and one such game is going to be getting a new HD treatment in anticipation for a PlayStation 4 launch.
The game in question is Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD, and whilst this game has already had an HD remaster for the PS Vita and the PlayStation 3, it will be the first time this game has been ported over to the newest Sony console.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD will be launched for the PlayStation 4 and it will be made available both from the PlayStation network and from within select brick and mortar retail stores early next year.
It is expected that the new HD remaster won't have many improvements over the previously released PS3 and PS Vita versions, although there may be some unexpected surprises. We will have to wait for the launch to see what Square

If you weren't accustomed to the name already, Lizard Squad is the title given to a group of online hackers that have spent their time bringing down online services for big corporations, and in the past they have managed to attack Sony, League of Legends and many other companies, typically related to the video game industry.
They have now set their sights on an even bigger challenge, and it is actually quite scary, considering the damage they have done in the past. Lizard Squad took to Twitter earlier this month to announce that the plan to bring down Xbox Live on December 25th, and they hope to keep it down forever.
The tweet stated, "This is not a threat, but a promise. On Christmas we will tap in to Microsoft and shut down Xbox Live, forever!"
Obviously, Microsoft are taking the issue very seriously, and I'm sure they will do their best to ensure server performance is as good as possible leading up to Christmas. Microsoft did issue a warning that increased traffic

What's that? Are you hearing things? Nope, Destiny will indeed be getting voice chat soon, so the only thing you'll be able to hear are other people's voices.
Voice chat is something that has been in online games for a long time, and it's odd that a co-operative experience like Destiny has forgone any kind of chat system. Luckily, Bungie have heard the player's requests, and they have responded in the best way possible.
The voice chat system planned for Destiny is well under development, and Bungie have revealed that a beta phase for it will be released next week.
To give player's the option of whether they want to talk to others or not, a toggle option will be provided so that they can keep voice chat off or turn it on in the upcoming update.
You will also be able to switch between public chat and fireteam chat so that you can block out any other players that may be in the area. It will be interesting to see if the public chat will be held across the entirety

The Ratchet and Clank franchise has been one that many Sony fans have loved ever since the PlayStation 2, and with recent news of a Ratchet and Clank animated movie, hype for the series has never been so high.
If you're a fan of Ratchet and Clank, then you'll probably be very excited to hear that it has been rumored that a Ratchet and Clank remake has been rumored to be in the works.
The new game, which will be a remake of the original game for the PlayStation 2, is rumored to be releasing alongside the same time as the movie launch, and it will be made available for the PlayStation 4.
As expected, the new remake is rumored to come with a new graphical overhaul, and some have even suggested that the game may end up looking very similar to the graphics seen in the Ratchet and Clank movie.
Whilst nothing has yet been officially confirmed, reports suggest that the new Ratchet and Clank remake will be revealed on a special PlayStation game event, which has been set

Here's something to get excited about: it has been revealed that Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro are teaming up to create a brand new Silent Hill game. With Del Toro's great storytelling, and Kojima's amazing ability to translate a story into a playable experience, I personally think we can expect to see something absolutely wonderful from the pair.
Despite the new revelations about the Silent Hill game, Kojima has been teasing the game on twitter and other streams for a few months. He also mentioned that he'd love to create a game including 3D captures of both Ryan Gosling and Norman Reedus.
Low and behold, Norman Reedus will be making an appearance in the new Silent Hill game, and although an appearance by Ryan Gosling is pretty unlikely, it's still quite exciting to see the star from The Walking Dead stepping into the world of video games.

Activision has just released a brand new set of gameplay video trailers showing off the latest DLC for Call of Duty Ghosts, which has been named 'Nemesis.'
The new Nemesis DLC pack for Call of Duty Ghosts will feature three brand new maps to the game, along with a brand new co-op mission for the Extinction game mode, and a remake of a map from a previous Call of Duty game. The Nemesis pack will be released on Xbox One and Xbox 360 this week, whilst other consoles and the PC version of Call of Duty Ghosts will get it some time next month.
As mentioned before, one of the four new Call of Duty Ghosts maps in the Nemesis DLC pack will be a re-imagining of a map previously used in an older Call of Duty Games. The remade map will be Shipment, a level that was seen in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Shipment has been known for it's small size, and it currently holds the record for the smallest map in the whole history of Call of Duty. For the other three maps, players can

From what we've seen so far, Metal Gear Solid 5 is looking to be one of the most anticipated games for the new generation of consoles. So far, we haven't really received anything that exciting to keep our trigger fingers going, but Metal Gear Solid 5 might just be enough to wow those on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 enough to tempt them over to the Xbox One and PS4.
If you're undecided on whether Metal Gear Solid 5 will be a worthwhile buy or not, you may want to free up an hour or so on August 13th; Kojima has just revealed plans to live stream a whole hours worth of gameplay content from Metal Gear Solid 5, which will perhaps be the most in-game content we've ever seen of the game in one sitting.
The live stream event will also be showcased to visitors to this year's Gamescom, and will showcase a bunch of brand new gameplay mechanics, and many different areas of the game that gamers have not yet laid their eyes on.
Kojima also seems to be confident that viewers will

Right now, everyone who may be slightly interested in Call of Duty will be keeping their main attention on Advanced Warfare, however it's pretty likely that both Infinity Ward and Treyarch are working behind the scenes to create the next upcoming Call of Duty titles, after Advanced Warfare.
Advanced Warfare looks to change up quite a lot in the Call of Duty franchise, but for those that aren't too happy about the changes, and would rather take it old school, you may be interested in the following information.
Apparently, Amazon slipped up and momentarily leaked a brand new cover image for Call of Duty World at War 2. Whilst this information can't be verified, it's certainly clear that Treyarch will be returning in 2015 with a new Call of Duty game, and it could be very possible that World at War 2 will be the next game in the series, after Advanced Warfare.
If this is the case, the 2015 Call of Duty game will be the first title to go back to the past, instead of focusing
