As you may know already, Sony is slowly gearing up to release the PS4 Slim as a new alternative to their current game console. As the name of the console suggests, the PS4 Slim will be a smaller, more lightweight version of the original PlayStation 4. This is a move that Sony has made plenty of times in the past with all of their consoles. In fact, Sony even released a PlayStation One slim, and have been doing so with their main game consoles ever since.
Because of this, it's no surprise that a PlayStation 4 Slim is on it's way. However, the surprising part is that a newly reworked DualShock 4 controller may be released alongside the PS4 Slim.
According to rumors, the new controller will have a change to the lightbar. The lightbar is used to signify each player for split-screen games. Each player is given a different color. Players can also change their own color for their profile so that players know that they are signed into their own account when playing on their own.

Dark Souls 3 will be getting it is first DLC on October 25. The DLC will be coming to the PlayStation 4 first and has been named Ashes of Ariandel.
As you'd expect from a game as epic as Dark Souls 3, the upcoming DLC isn't going to come without a lot of content to get players excited about. Unfortunately we aren't too sure what the content will be just yet. In fact, the announcement for the DLC was only posted on Twitter briefly before it was removed again.
The announcement did, however, mention that a trailer for the upcoming DLC was planned and we are expecting to see it make ripples across the internet very soon. Past rumors have suggested that the first DLC expansion for Dark Souls 3 will include a major content drop and could feature new maps, weapons, armor sets and additional bosses and enemies.
We also know that the Ashes of Ariandel will be the first of two DLC packs for Dark Souls 3 and the second will be available next year. Both packs are available for

No Man's Sky has finally launched this week and critics are giving it tons of praise. The new game features a procedurally generated universe unlike any other we've seen before. Imagine the scale of Minecraft, which is just a single world, and then put it to a scale that matches the scale of the actual universe. No Man's Sky features a number of sci-fi based gameplay element. Players are given control of a spaceship and they are given the option to travel the universe to collect resources, upgrade their spaceship and get into combat both in space and on the surface of each and every planet.
No Man's Sky is a multiplayer game in the sense that every player connects to the game online and every player is within the same server. The opportunity to see another player is there, but the chances of this are so ridiculously slim that it may as well not happen. There are so many planets that the chance of finding a player is apparently less than 1%.
Instead of seeing other

A new patch for Uncharted 4 has been released which addresses some changes to the multiplayer portion of the game.
Firstly a number of weapons have been balanced throughout the multiplayer game. The weapons balances include changes to mines, the Jackal, the Mettle M-30, the Aegis 9mm, the Spezzotia 12 Gauge and the MP34a.
For the mines, players can now only place down two at once. Before the latest update, players were allowed to place down three at once. The Jackal and the Mettle M-30 have had their fire rate increased to give them a bit of an improvement. On the other side of the fence the Aegis 9mm has had it's fire rate and effective damage range decreased. The Spezzotti 12 Gauge on the other hand has had it's headshot damage multiplier increased so it should now be easier to get those headshot kills with it. Finally, the MP34a has had its ammo capacity reduced to 90 from 120.
In other news, prices for some items have changed. For example, the One-User Booster chest

If you've been anywhere near the internet over the past few days then you'll know that Infinity Ward will be launching their latest Call of Duty game later this year. Unfortunately we don't know much about Infinite Warfare yet, but we do know that a slightly more expensive version of the game will be coming with a remastered version of COD 4.
Although the entirety of the singleplayer game will be getting a remaster, only 10 have been picked out for the multiplayer portion. This is going to be a little disheartening for any hardcore COD 4 fans out there, but we're hoping that Infinity Ward picks out the most popular maps.
Recently Activision has been slowly revealing each of the maps and so far we know what five of these are. In the latest reveal, Overgrown and Bog have been announced. In a previous announcement, Activision let us know that the first three maps will be Crash, Backlot and Crossfire.
Activision hasn't mentioned whether more maps will be added in the future

Nathan Drake may be one of the most appreciated characters from within the range of PlayStation exclusive franchises released over the years but there's a lot that the fans don't know about him. Through the first three games we do learn quite a lot about Nathan Drake and his personality type, but I honestly know very little about his past and there's still a lot about him that remains mysterious.
Fortunately Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will have a big approach on Nathan Drake's childhood, revealing details about his upbringing according to lead designer Ricky Cambier.
If you're already aware of the current details released about Uncharted 4, you will know that the game will introduce Nathan's older brother, Sam Drake to the players. Ricky Cambier mentioned in an interview that, "We don't know a lot about his childhood and what happened." "We bring a character like Sam in and now you get to meet his older brother. And you get to see a little about what that relationship is like

The first event in anticipation for Capcom Cup 2016 was played out this month and it saw Team Razer's Infiltration take a win against Mad Catz's Tokido in a 3-1 game in the grand final. The event was a Final Round Street Fighter V tournament and by taking the win, Infiltration has now qualified for Capcom Cup 2016.
Mad Catz Tokido took second place and in third place was Mad Catz Mago. Haitani Tetsuya placed in fourth. At this point all four players have already fought against each other in the past so the games that took place at the tournament were a spectacle to watch. With that being said, Infiltration was a long way ahead of the rest of the game and it almost seems as if the rest of the Street Fighter pro scene has a lot to catch up to at this point in time. Last year Infiltration was one of two players to take six event wins and he’s already had a great start to the new season.
However, last season was played on Ultra Street Fighter IV so it will be interesting to see

Thanks to the power of the internet, we may have just been spoiled to some information that the Knack developers didn't want to reveal. A 3D animator working at Knack recently posted Knack 2 on their CV. In the CV it stated that Knack 2 has been in development since May last year.
The CV, which is available on LinkedIn, was first discovered by a member of the NeoGAF forum. The CV originally stated that the 3D animator, named Mindy Liang, was working on "animated 3D character motions and cutscenes" on Knack 2 for the PlayStation 4 since May 2015.
As you can imagine, the CV has since been edited and any mention of Knack 2 has been removed. Fortunately the internet never forgets.
What's important to note about this information is that whilst Knack 2 could still be in development, it’s possible that Knack 2 is not going to launch at all. With fairly low scores from players and critics alike, it would be understandable if the developers working on Knack 2 started up the

A brand new trailer has been released for Tekken 7 and it showcases a new addition to the Japanese arcade version of the game. In the trailer, Akuma from Street Fighter is showcased as a character, suggesting that he will soon be added to the Tekken 7 roster. Whilst this trailer is aimed for those who play the Japanese arcade version, it's likely that Akuma will come to Tekken 7 once the game gets a worldwide console release.
It's very common for fighting games to include guest characters from other games, TV shows or movies so seeing Akuma in Tekken 7 would be awesome. Akuma should have a move set that is very similar to his move set in the Street Fighter franchise so when you're playing him, it really "feels" like you're playing the real Akuma. Interestingly, even though Akuma is coming to Tekken 7, he has not been announced for Street Fighter V.
Akuma will be added to the next Japanese arcade Tekken 7 update, which has been named Fated Retribution. On top of the inclusion

Sony is listing a new deal every day leading up to Christmas day as part of the "12 Deals of Christmas" holiday promotion. The holiday promotion started on November 30, alongside a "Games Under 15 Euro for Christmas" promotion for PS3 and PS Vita titles.
The 12 games for Christmas deals only last 48 hours after their announcement so you'll have to be quick to snatch up the best deals. On November 30, the promotion started with a discount to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which was listed on the PlayStation Store for 34.99 instead of 69.99, essentially taking 50% off of it's digital price. The same 50% discount was available for the PS3 version too.
A number of great deals have been posted over the last couple of weeks but we're now onto deal 7 of the 12 days of Christmas and it lists Assassin's' Creed Syndicate (The new one!) at a discount. The base price of Syndicate is 69.99 but it can now be picked up for 49.99 for two days. The season pass has also had a discount
