Just as information about Sony's free game lineup for March was released, we're hearing rumors about what games may make it into Microsoft's similar loyalty program, Xbox Live Games with Gold.
So far, nothing has been made official, but according to WorthPlaying, a pretty reputable source when it comes to this stuff, Civilization Revolution will be one of the titles made available in this month's Games with Gold promotion.
Civ Revolution is a pretty fun game, but it has been out since 2008 now, and whilst Microsoft is offering 6 year old games to their loyal gamers, Sony is giving away free copies of Tomb Raider, a game that was released just 1 year ago.
Of course, Microsoft could be giving no games away at all, so we shouldn't really complain at these free titles, but still, it would be nice if the guys behind Xbox decided to put a bit more thought into the loyalty rewards for those paying a monthly subscription to get the most out of their consoles.
So far,

Activision has just released four new DLC content packs for Call of Duty Ghosts that will be separate from the season pass. All four packs are small additions to the game that only change cosmetics, and they have all been released and been made available for purchase since the start of this week.
The four packs have been named 'personalization packs' and they include a few new items to change the appearance of your squad members in-game.
The first pack is the Makarov Legend Pack. This pack allows players to don the appearance of Vladimir Makarov, one of the most well known villains in the whole of Call of Duty. On top of the multiplayer Makarov skin, the Makarov Legend Pack comes with a themed weapon camo, a new reticle, a player patch, playercard and background. This pack can be picked up for $3.99

Just as the player appreciation month for Battlefield's players comes to an end, DICE has released a brand new screenshot to show off the upcoming Battlefield 4 DLC pack, which has been named Naval Strike.
The new DLC pack has been scheduled to launch later this month, although Battlefield Premium players will be able to access the content two weeks before any other players. As the name Naval Strike suggests, the DLC will be filled with content focused on a water-filled theme.
This DLC pack will include four new maps set in the South China Sea. All four levels will have some element of water based combat, however, it's unclear what these maps will actually consist of.
On top of the four new maps, the Naval Strike DLC pack will also come with five new weapons, a new amphibious hovercraft vehicle that has been shown in the released Naval Strike screenshot, and a new mode called Carrier Assault. This game has been rumored to be similar to Titan mode in Battlefield 2142,

Somehow, it looks as if pretty much all information about Titanfall has been let out into the wild, and through all of these leaks, we can learn a bunch of new information about the upcoming Microsoft exclusive first person shooter.
The most interesting leak that's been picked up after the maps leak is something that pertains to the information of a prestige system similar to the ones found in Call of Duty games.
According to the leaker, the prestige system in Titanfall will be called Generations, and when a player decides to reset their rank to Generation 2, they'll lose all of their unlocked perks, and they will start back at level 1.
The bonuses of Generation 2 is that players will receive 110% XP at all times, and a unique badge to show off in-game. All burn card earnt in Generation 1 will be kept, and no details have been given on whether there will be any more Generations, and what bonuses players may receive for prestiging more than once.

The new Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 video game has been fairly enjoyable, and I've actually been surprised at how much I've enjoyed playing through the game revival. However, unlike it's older predecessors, Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 lives in an age filled with DLC and extra content, so to get the most fun out of the experience, we'll have to wait for Konami to release their planned DLC packs.
According to a forum member on CS.RIN.RU by the name of UbiSergei, the first Lords of Shadow 2 DLC pack will be called Revelations, and it may allow players to play as Alucard. The story of the DLC will let players discover a new plotline and understand "the true extent of Alucard's involvement."
Alucard has been in the Castlevania series since Castlevania 3, so it'll be interesting to see how big fans will react to being able to play as the character. In Lords of Shadow 2, Alucard's father, Dracula, plays a pretty large role in the plotline, so it'll be interesting to see where

An article keeps popping up on Computerandvideogames, and in fact, at the time of writing, it was the most popular post on the entire website, despite it being written around 4 years ago. The article reveals a story about DICE, and their overall succumb to publisher pressure, and the article, four years later, is filled with irony and unfortunately, not of the funny kind.
The article depicts an interview with DICE's senior producer at the time with Xbox World 360 Magazine asking all of the questions. One question that made the title of the article was about paid-for content, maps and DLC.
At the time a DLC pack for Modern Warfare 2 was released for 1200 Microsoft Points, however, it was met with quite a lot of frowns on that day. The reason for this was because DICE had released a free DLC pack on the exact same day for their game at the time, Battlefield Bad Company 2.
When asked about all of this, Patrick Bach, DICE's senior producer at the time, stated

If you can excuse the strange choice of music, I have something very exciting to show you. It's a brand new trailer headed for UK cinemas, and it shows some pretty intense footage of Darks Souls 2 in action.
The trailer focuses on an iron-clad hero as he battles through numerous enemies, takes down a dragon, and goes through various forms of terrain. I know that the trailer doesn't really represent actual gameplay footage, but it still looks absolutely awesome.
I was very interested in the first Dark Souls game but have yet to play it unfortunately, but I have heard many great things from the game, so this looks like a very nice treat, especially for anybody that has played the first game.
The trailer seemed to be directly advertising the Black Armor Edition and the Collector's Edition of the game, and showed both copies with their exclusive goodies at the end of the trailer. The Black Armor Edition comes with the game, the title's soundtrack, as well as early access

We've already got Titanfall planned to shake up the first person shooter scene for this year, but it's not going to stop both EA and Activision from putting their developers to the test on yet another round of Battlefield and Call of Duty games.
However, it's quite clear that the development teams behind both FPS titles are starting to realize that the same old content just isn't working anymore, and new, original ideas will need to be put into place to make sure the franchise continues successfully.
One new idea may end up making the next Battlefield game completely different. This idea is a concept that will take the modern military warfare concept and replace it with a police themed environment.
Unfortunately apart from a report from Polygon, no details have yet been given on what a police themed Battlefield game would entail. It could potentially be a very different game to the current offering in the series, but on the other end of the spectrum, it could

Over the last half decade, it's become quite a popular thing for developers to make remakes of their old games. I'm not just talking about new re-imagined versions of games, either, I'm talking literal ports of ancient titles with nothing new added to it other than an HD skin, in most cases.
Personally, I always feel the idea behind playing an old game is for the nostalgia value, and HD remakes always ruin that for me a little, however if you're a fan of HD remakes, you may want to keep get your wallet out because the original Far Cry game is about to join the likes of Goldeneye, Halo: Combat Evolved, and Fable: The Lost Chapters, among others.
A Far Cry Classic remake has been rumored for a while now, and it has finally been released to the public, however details are still a bit blurry. Ubisoft seemed to have messed up a little with the promotion of the project, and despite development time being put in the remake to add revamped cutscenes, enhanced graphics and a new interface,

Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes is kind of like a prologue to the actual fifth installment of Metal Gear Solid, however, despite this, it is still being treated like a full blown game, and unless you buy the pack with access to both titles in, it will cost just as much as a full game too.
Unfortunately though, I don't think Ground Zeroes will be anywhere as good as the Phantom Pain is looking to be, and one of the reasons for this may be because the story mode on Ground Zeroes may end up being ridiculously short.
And by ridiculously short, I mean less than two hours short. Of course, it's hard to know whether this is the true average play time, or the time it would take to complete the game when you already know everything you need to do, and completely disregard all of the other cool things to explore in the world.
Some are saying that the game plays for about 2-5 hours on average, but according to Hideo Kojima's personal assistant, Ayoka, all of this information
