New details have emerged about a planned update that will add a bit more customization to the Xbox One dashboard.
Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, has recently confirmed that the Xbox One will soon be getting new options for custom backgrounds, along with talking about other plans for the platform, in a new TiC podcast.
During the podcast, Phil Spencer mentioned that backgrounds, screenshots and themes will be coming to the Xbox One soon, however Spencer failed to mentioned exactly when this would be.
When asked about the Xbox One UI and the likelihood of seeing background and profile pic customization options, Phil Spencer replied with, "You will see it, I'll announce it here - I was told themes and background pics are something we're working on, and screenshots -- people beat me up about screenshots - I know people like to customize the look of their dashboard, we're going to deliver them, I can't give you a when yet."
By the sounds of it, a lot more UI customization

A brand new set of official gameplay videos for Advanced Warfare have leaked, each showing different elements of the multiplayer gameplay associated with the game. The first video shows off a brand new remote turret score streak reward. Players will be able to place down the turret, find a quiet place to hide, and then activate the turret to control it remotely.
In the second video, a new medal awarded in multiplayer is shown - the video shows a player getting into a large battlesuit and then killing a player to be rewarded with the "terminated" medal.
The third video also shows off a new medal in Advanced Warfare. This medal, named Death From Above, will reward players who manage to use their jumpsuit to leap above somebody's head and take them down with a knife kill whilst airborne.
The final video shows off the new remote turret score streak reward again - however this time it focuses on the turret weapons which can be ripped off of the turret and used on foot.

Agent Locke is a new character to the lore of Halo that will make his first appearance in the live actions series, Halo Nightfall, however, the actor that plays Locke suggests the character will play a big part in Halo 5: Guardians as well.
In fact, according to actor Mike Colter, the man who plays Agent Locke, the main protagonist in Halo 5 may instead be Agent Locke instead of the Master Chief.
Colter revealed in a recent interview with X-One magazine that "I'm a playable character in Halo 5." Colter went on to explain that, "Once Halo: The Master Chief Collection is released, and then Halo 5 comes out shortly thereafter, you're basically going to be playing a game with me as the primary character.
"I'll have some cool weaponry, and some cool abilities, because by that time I'll be a Spartan IV."
"What's not known, is whether I'm a friend or foe," Colter suggested. "The relationship between Master Chief and Jameson Locke is going to be interesting. Because what's -

I have started to quietly anticipate the release of the Xbox Live Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus free games each month, and like clockwork, each month new games are announced, and thousands of players bag a bunch of titles for free.
This month, Microsoft has announced a few new games for the Games with Gold promotion, some of which players may enjoy.
The first title released as part of the October Xbox Live Games with Gold promotion is Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and whilst this game is now incredibly old, when compared to the lifespan of the Xbox 360, it is still a great title, and if you haven't played it, I'd definitely suggest giving it a try. Many old school Battlefield fans have named Bad Company 2 the last "good" Battlefield game, but you'll have to make your own mind up about that one.
Bad Company 2 will be available to download for free till October 15th, and a day later, Darksiders 2 will be put up for free. Darksiders 2 is another old title, but it's

Another month has gone by, and Microsoft have announced their plans for September's free Games with Gold lineup. Whilst the new games for September may not be anywhere near as good as the free games released last month, you can still get hold of a couple of decent titles this month too.
For the Xbox One, players with an Xbox LIVE Gold membership will be able to grab Super Time Force all the way throughout the month, starting from September 1st, and ending September 30th. Super Time Force is an arcade side-scroller title that seems to incorporate game mechanics from games like Contra, and even Alien Hominid.
For the second Xbox One title, players will be handed Crimson Dragon for the second month in a row. Whilst the repeated free release for the Games with Gold promotion has disappointed some Xbox owners, it's important to note that Microsoft's original plans were to release just one Xbox One game for free per month.
As for the Xbox 360, players will be able to download

We've just rolled into a new month, and that means it's time to talk about the next Xbox Live Games with Gold lineup. We've got quite a few treats in store this week, including some Xbox 360 retail titles, as well as a couple digital-based Xbox One games.
Firstly, Xbox One owners with Xbox Gold will be able to treat themselves with Crimson Dragon, an Xbox exclusive that saw itself as one of the few available Xbox One launch titles the day the console was released. Crimson Dragon is an indirect sequel to Panzer Dragoon, a game that made it's rounds on the Original Xbox many years ago. Crimson Dragon will be available all the way throughout the month.
Alongside Crimson Dragon, Xbox Live gold subscribers will be able to get their hands on Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut, which made it to reality after successfully being backed on Kickstarter. Both Xbox One games are available till August 31st.
As for the Xbox 360, players will be able to pick up Motocross Madness, a Trials

The next game in the Call of Duty franchise has been revealed to be Advanced Warfare, a title that will be solely developed by the series's third developer, Sledgehammer Games, for the first time.
So far, we have been treated with a wide range of teasers and content reveals for the story and setting for Advanced Warfare, but our multiplayer taste buds have not yet been touched. However, that is about to change, because Sledgehammer Games have revealed their plans to showcase the multiplayer in Advanced Warfare at Gamescom 2014, on August 11th.
The brand new multiplayer gameplay reveal for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare will be in Microsoft's hands, and Major Nelson has revealed that he and the creators of the next COD title will be ready to show off multiplayer content of the game soon.
As well as showing off the content to those attending Gamescom 2014, Microsoft will be streaming the whole event on Xbox Live for the world to see. Along with gameplay content, Microsoft

Microsoft has just announced a whole list of changes to their Xbox Live service that will completely overhaul the overall experience for their average user. One of the biggest changes in this new move by Microsoft will allow gamers who make use of quarterly or yearly Xbox Live Gold subscriptions to receive refunds for any time they did not make use of on their Xbox.
If an Xbox Live Gold user cancels their yearly or monthly subscription, they will receive a refund for the remaining time available on that subscription, which should then go into their Xbox Live account balance.
On top of the changes to subscriptions, Microsoft is working hard to remove any paywalls on their current entertainment offering. Whilst Xbox Live Gold will still be needed for online multiplayer, services like Hulu Plus and Netflix will now be accessible without an active Gold subscription.
These brand new Xbox Live changes will go live in June, and it's another portion of their efforts to make

A brand new reveal trailer has been released by Insomniac Games that shows off the utter carnage and mayhem you can expect to find in Sunset Overdrive, and unlike other trailers, the new video footage released showcases actual gameplay.
From first look, Sunset Overdrive looks like an odd mix between Jet Set Radio and any standard third person shooter - the game relies on a velocity movement system, that allows players to speed up as the grind on power lines, run up walls and use the environment around them to their advantage.
The actual gun gameplay may sound a little dull and uninspiring when compared to the fun, colorful environment that can be traversed so easily, but thanks to Insomniac Games zany way of making games, you can expect to fight your way through all kinds of monsters with strange DIY weapons that just wouldn't stand a chance of working in real life.
Microsoft and Insomniac Games also revealed some information on the exclusive content available for the

So far, we know that Destiny will have two forms of transport - the hover-bike type vehicles that allow players to get around a world quickly, and a spaceship of sorts that acts as a travel system to different planets.
Bungie hasn't really gone into much detail about how either of these two vehicles will work, but by the sounds of it there will be some kind of customization involved. One of the most interesting things we've heard about the vehicles recently is that GAME, a video game retailer in the UK, are offering a special upgraded hover bike as a pre-order incentive to anybody who pre-orders Destiny.
So far, Bungie haven't made any statements about the GAME partnership, but according to GAME these upgraded vehicles will have better stats than the original versions. According to the GAME press release, the upgraded Sparrow hoverbike will be faster and more durable than the standard Sparrow.
As this game doesn't really involve any play versus player interactions this
