battlefield-1-singleplayer

New details about the single player portion of Battlefield 1 have been released by DICE.

In the new trailer and promo content on the Battlefield website, it has been revealed that the singleplayer in Battlefield 1 will have a number of separate 'War Stories.'

Each of the War Stories will have their own story, their own objectives and their own objectives with unique abilities. Each story will offer a different depiction of World War 1 and will put focus on a number of different characters.

This means that instead of one single campaign and one protagonist, the Battlefield 1 main storyline will have multiple stories and characters. It's likely that each individual mission will be a 'War Story' and players will get the chance to experience all sorts of different gameplay that Battlefield 1 has to offer.

For example, in one War Story, players will be playing as the right-hand man of Lawrence of Arabia. The objective will be to locate an armored train, find the supplies needed to take it down and engage in a big firefight at the end of the mission to take the train off the tracks.

There are plenty more War Stories with different scenarios and characters. On one mission you'll be out in the sky fighting it out against German fighter planes, whilst in another, you will be on the ground in harsh, unforgiving trench warfare.

Battlefield 1 launches on October 21 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the Origin Store on Windows PC.
