If you are planning on delving into the pending Battlefield 3 on your computer you will need to create an Origin account. Origin is Electronic Arts digital distributing application, and is the largest competitor for Steam, who it has been confirmed will not be offering Battlefield 3. This should not be a huge surprise for gamers, and personally the move by DICE and EA makes a lot of sense.

Origin offers a wide range of gaming opportunities for PC dedicated gamers, and is an excellent host for Battlefield 3 when it finally becomes available on October 25th. The multi-platform title is set to be Modern Warfares largest competitor, and already gaming forums are hyping the game up to be one of the best of 2011.

With improved game play, graphics, and story line Battlefield 3 is set to make a huge impact on the way we view and play video games. This applies to the PC version of the game as well, and the requirement of an Origin account is a small price to pay for the hours of entertainment DICEs new game will provide.
