Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2 has been out for almost two weeks now, and the amount of content within the game is unbelievable. If you've managed to get your hands on the game, I'm sure you've probably been pleasantly swamped with side quests, customization options and many other aspects of the gameplay that make it so great and immersive, but there are some features in the game that aren't so easy to spot. We're talking about Easter eggs, baby.

Probably one of the most widely known Easter eggs in Borderlands 2 is the inclusion of an area dedicated to the popular sandbox game, Minecraft. A place called Caustic Caverns has an area sectioned off by blocks that look similar to the iconic Minecraft visuals; smash your way through them and you'll find a layer of coal and stone, which is also in the blocky Minecraft style. Keep tunneling your way through and you'll find yourself face to face with a bunch of creepers. Minecraft wearable skins for your characters.

This isn't the only hidden gem within the games diverse atmosphere, and if you've got a good eyesight, be prepared to come across many more interesting additions such as a double rainbow, a scannable QR code and even a Facebook reference.

If you've found any more cool features in Borderlands 2 that are otherwise unknown, share it with us in the comments.
