Hello gamers! Today we are going to take a look at the highly anticipated addition to the Assassin's Creed series, Assassin's Creed 3.

This is one game to be stoked about. Why you ask? Well let me list it out for you, (1) this installment has been in development for the longest time, a total of 3 years (2) the game is 1.5 times bigger than Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (3) it is powered by a new engine - Anvil Next, able to create dynamic and living landscapes filled with wildlife and people in a scale never before seen, and most importantly (4) we get a brand new assassin.

Our new assassin is a cross breed of British and Native American (Mohawk to be precise), who goes by the name of Connor. Like the assassins of the past, he brings his own unique combat style and equipment. Staying true to the era, the armor has been removed but, that is more than made up for by the addition of several new deadly tools; these include a Tomahawk, bow and arrow, dual-pistols, improved hidden blade, sword and a rope dart!

Connor's basic combat style is two handed combat and as such we can select different combination weapons to equip, for example he can dual wield a Tomahawk and the Assassin's blade. The action seems much more fast paced and the developers had actually mentioned earlier that the new control mechanics will allow more fluent combat. All this is evident from the gameplay video given below.

The story this time around takes place during the American Revolution. Even though at some points Connor would be assisting the Americans his ultimate targets are the same as his predecessors', the Templar. Taking advantage of his ethnicity, Ubisoft have also set up a new setting for us to explore. Even though towns, docks and and cities will still be there, a majority of the gameplay will take place in the wilderness. As such, forests have been designed to facilitate the verticality that this franchise has become so renowned for.

Another new addition to the series is the bartering system. This will essentially allow Connor to earn some extra cash by selling meat and pelts obtained from hunted animals. It is also assumed that through this we will get our new upgrades but, that is still to be revealed. To add to all this, we get some pretty sweet naval combat. If you guys haven't seen the gameplay video yet then check it out below. The graphics look amazing and there is something immensely satisfying in taking out several enemy ships in the middle of fierce storm. As you can guys, as I said before, this game is definitely one to be excited for!
