So there have been quite a few exciting things that have been released at E3 thus far. Nintendo hasa new console called the Wii U, they don't have the best track record with core gamers, but only time will tell if this console can live up to what we expect from our consoles.Sony has a sweet new portable that is called the PlayStation Vita, not the NGP.Yes, Vita is latin for the word life, which is exactly what the console will bring to them following all the drama of the PlayStation Network closing.By the way, there were no hackers at all, at least according to Anonymous. It was really just that Sony was having problems with their servers. But alas, Sony has new life through Vita, and for half the cost of what the PSP did, you get something that looks truly special.

However, so far in my opinion it is still Microsoft who has released the biggest news, even without the creation of a new console.Halo 4 was announced at E3 and it looks to be the first in a new trilogy. One noteworthy aspect is that Bungie is not producing Halo 4, but instead 343 Studios. (Bungie is now there own independent studio)Additionally, Microsoft announced that the original Halo is being remade with better graphics and improved online multiplayer capabilities, which is something that I am EXTREMELY excited about.

Despite all of this, there is one question that has taken center stage in my mind from the first day of E3.Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3; which will be the better game? They both have released new gameplay trailers, MW3s looks disturbingly similar to MW2s graphics but with plenty of new toys. On the other hand, Battlefield 3 showcased a breathtaking gameplay scene, where you operate a tank in the desert. The truth of the matter is that I have never played a Battlefield game before, and until a year ago I had never played a Call of Duty game either. While, I can say that I am a huge fan of the online multiplayer beast that is the COD series, Battlefield 3 is looking mighty impressive. In fact, if Call of Duty didnt have such a huge following I might even say that there could be some competition as to the new king of first person shooters.Perhaps we will learn more tomorrow, but for now all I can say about the exciting things that have been announced today is that only time will tell just how amazing they really are.
