Halo 4 Trailer

A new Halo 4 trailer has been scheduled to air live on October 18th on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and will then be available to watch from Halo Waypoint and the Xbox YouTube channel straight after.

The two minute long trailer has been named Scanned, and will give an "emotionally charged" back story into the mind of Halo's returning protagonist, the Master Chief.

The trailer is being produced by a large crew of talented directors and artists with mainstream success in the media industry. David Fincher, director of popular movies such as Fight Club and Se7en, is executive producing the project, alongside Tim Miller, lead visual effects artist for both Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World and the Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, who will be directing the title.

Tim Miller said "The chance to tell a story that explores never-before-seen facets of Master Chief's journey is an honor. Our goal is to deliver a blockbuster, Hollywood-quality trailer that raises the bar for the award-winning legacy of live-action Halo storytelling and gets fans stoked for the return of Master Chief."

"Halo is one of the most iconic sci-fi universes, with a depth that allows for amazingly cinematic and emotionally riveting stories."

If we're to go by the previous high quality of other Halo launch trailers then we are in for a treat, and with legends David Fincher and Tim Miller behind the wheel, the trailer is likely to be even more special.

Halo 4 will be released on November 6th.
