Recent gameplay footage of Dead Space 3 has been released by Visceral Games, the team behind the Dead Space series, and it's looking to be the most exhilarating gameplay footage yet. The developers have managed to capture amazing scenes within a dark abandoned spaceship, relying on the weak light emitting from Isaac's suit and the inconsistent eerie background noises to create an atmosphere that's bound to get you on the edge of your seat.

The realistic body animations and interactions within the hazardous ship innards make it feel more than a video game, putting you right into an experience equivalent to a bid-budget horror movie. For the most part you won't be able to see what's in the dark, and that's what keeps your adrenaline pumping.

You'll be put through gory low-lit battles with creepy space creatures and while Isaac is forced to make risky heart-pumping decisions throughout the cut scenes in the game. The story is dark and compelling, and you'll fear for Isaac's life every step of the way.

The weapons will be bigger and better in the new Dead Space, adding new customization options within your arsenal, but along with the bigger, better guns, you can expect bigger stronger enemies. Dead Space 3 will be more frightful than ever.

The new gameplay shows that Dead Space 3 is looking close to completion, and Visceral Games and EA have set the release date to February 2013. Can't wait that long?
