Medal of Honor Warfighter Beta Launched

All you FPS fans out there are getting extra lucky with this year's lineup; with Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 set for release over the upcoming months we've already got hours of gameplay available at our hands. But for any of you still not satisfied, Warfighter, the new Medal of Honor game will be set to release very soon!

Medal of Honor will hopefully offer a gameplay experience that adds something new from the crowd of recent military shooter releases, and if we're to go by the impressive gameplay footage and conceptual ideas released by Danger Close Games, we have reason to keep our hopes high.

At E3 2012 Warfighter was shown by Danger Close to include in-depth and realistic military scenarios mimicking real-life terrorist intervention missions:

"Medal of Honor Warfighter puts players in the boots of today's most highly trained and skilled warriors to experience missions that have a dotted line to real world terrorist events. This is Tier 1 on a global scale, featuring real world hotspots in the single-player campaign and introducing international Tier 1 Operators in multiplayer. This groundbreaking move gives players a window into the look and style of elite soldiers from 10 different countries around the world. With Medal of Honor Warfighter, gamers can represent their nation's Special Operations Forces on the multiplayer battlefield. Medal of Honor introduces a new mode where the world's best-of-the-best warriors go head-to-head in online competition."

Warfighter will be running on the all-new Frostbite 2 engine so expect destroyable scenery, smart AI, and stunning visuals on both the Xbox and PS3.

Warfighter is set to release on October 23rd, but if you want to play the game beforehand, grab yourself a modded controller and download the free open Beta from the Xbox marketplace.
