XBOX 360 rockstar ps3 playstation 3 GTA V Grand Theft Auto V

Having multiple consoles in the market can be a pain sometimes - obnoxious fanboyism, the inability to play online with friends on a different console, and of course gameplay differences in games.

Luckily though, Rockstar's upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5 will be virtually the same game on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The new GTA has been confirmed to be a very big game, so it's easy to assume there may be gameplay differences between the two consoles because of the lack of powerful hardware.

Rockstar has made the announcement, stating "Players can expect the same great gameplay experience on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms as they have both been developed in tandem."

"Like all of our games, trust that we're committed to making sure Grand Theft Auto V looks and runs as great as possible regardless of whether you pick it up for PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, and we are excited for fans on both platforms to experience Grand Theft Auto V this September. We expect any visual differences to be completely negligible."

The only differences the game will have between consoles is that the Xbox 360 version will come with two discs and will require an 8GB install because of the lack of space on the standard CD. The PS3 won't have this problem as the game will be on a Blu-Ray.
