risen 3 trailerA new trailer has been released by Deep Silver that shows off CGI footage for Risen 3, the next game in a series of RPG titles by developer Piranha Bytes in Motion.

The trailer depicts an armored character as he fights against a huge beastly creature, and whilst I haven't played any of the previous titles, the trailer has certainly got me curious. This is the first time we've seen a look into the world of Risen 3, and whilst this doesn't really show any true gameplay footage, It certainly shows a lot of potential.

In Risen 3, players will fill the role of a young warrior who has lost his soul to demonic creatures - the story follows him as he completes tasks set out by mages who offer to help him reclaim his soul in return. The game is a typical RPG title that will offer players different choices throughout the game, and whilst it hasn't been made entirely clear, these choices will impact the story line in some way or another.

In February, an announcement was made by Deep Silver that stated, "Risen 3: Titan Lords pulls players into a hand-crafted role-playing world full of rugged charm where every decision changes the course of the story and your fate, and the fate of the world, is up for the taking."

Risen 3 has been set for release in August this year for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Unfortunately Deep Silver have not announced a version for either the PS4 or the Xbox One, so if you want to play it you'll have to use old gen consoles or a computer.
