What we know About the Ghost of Tsushima Sequel so Far

Sucker Punch studio’s ghost of Tsushima became a smash hit as soon as it became available. The game gained a great deal of hype as soon as its studio dropped the trailer. The graphics, combat system, and overall aesthetic of the game looked amazing for a PS4 game. That said, many gamers weren’t sure if Ghost of Tsushima would live up to the expectations because there have been plenty of times when studios dropped fantastic game trailers, only to disappoint with the final game.

Ubisoft has especially gained a great deal of notoriety for this, which is a major reason why its once beloved Assasin’s Creed franchise is not as popular among avid gamers these days. Fortunately, Sucker Punch studios met the fan’s expectations and then some by creating a fantastic open-world game, set in Japan. Many compared Ghost of Tsushima to Assassin’s Creed because of its excellent stealth mechanics, combat, and story elements. However, when you compare the two, it is easy to see that the game developers took their time to ensure that GOT is a massive improvement over the Assasin’s Creed games.

The incredible success of the game even led to a director’s cut version, which improved upon multiple aspects of the already fantastic Play Station title. With so much success, it is only fair to wonder if there is a sequel in the works. Well, it looks like it definitely is.

What we know about the Sequel So Far

While Sucker Punch has remained tight-lipped about whether there will be a Ghost of Tsushima sequel, certain things suggest that it is already in the works. One clear sign that indicates there is a sequel in the works is that Sucker Punch isn’t involved in the development of the Sly Cooper Remake, a game that made the studio famous in the gaming world. Since Sucker Punch is known for only working on one game at a time, it wouldn’t be a far stretch to imagine that it is working on Ghost of Tsushima part two.

With such a hardcore fan base of millions of people, cashing in on the game’s popularity only makes sense. Historically speaking, studios have never been afraid of making multiple sequels of popular video game franchises, so it only makes sense to assume that a sequel announcement of GOT could be right around the corner.

Bringing Something New

Now that PS5s are more easily available to people, video game developers will try to make games that truly utilize the machine’s capabilities. You can expect plenty of improvements in the Ghost of Tsushima sequel, with updated graphics, game mechanics, improved adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, and loads more.

Some gamers also think that the upcoming title would also include multiple online modes, which wouldn’t be a far stretch, especially after the success of Ghost of Tsushima Legends.
