This week, NetherRealm revealed that one of the first characters for the Kombat pack will be none other than Jason Voorhees, the star of the Friday the 13th movie series. Well, he's really the antagonist, but let's be honest, Voorhees is the real reason everybody watches those movies.
In Mortal Kombat X, Jason Voorhees will be wearing his classic hockey mask, and he'll also be wielding the machete he's renowned for using.
Whilst the other characters of the Kombat Pack have not yet been revealed, NetherRealm has revealed that the pack will include "Klassic Kombatants" as well as special guests. Considering there will only be four new characters in the Kombat pack, and plurals

Over the last few months, Netherrealm has slowly been revealing the roster for Mortal Kombat X, fighter by fighter, and this week another fighter has been announced by the development team behind the next Mortal Kombat.
The fighter in question is Ermac, a character that has been around since Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Ermac resembles the appearance of a traditional ninja, and holds a variety of telekinesis-based moves.
Ermac was originally created as a response to fan mythology in the early days of Mortal Kombat. Players believed that a glitch that caused a message to appear, reading "Error Macro," would cause Scorpion’s outfit to turn red, thus Ermac was created.
Ermac has a pretty wide range of abilities considering that in lore he is a collection of different warriors, although most of his best abilities are related to some form of telekinesis.
Alongside the new reveal of Ermac for Mortal Kombat X, the developers revealed that they will soon be announcing a

More details for the upcoming Mortal Kombat X have been revealed by Warner Bros. including a confirmed release date and some information on the benefits of pre-ordering the game today.
Firstly, Warner Bros. have revealed that Mortal Kombat X has been set for release on April 14, 2015, and the game will be readily available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the PC at this date.
Secondly, Warner Bros. mentioned that players who pre-order Mortal Kombat X before it's release date will receive Goro, an additional character for the game. Goro is a four armed character who first appeared in the original Mortal Kombat as a non-playable boss.
So far, it's unclear whether Goro will be made available to those who do not pre-order at some point after the release of Mortal Kombat X, or whether Goro will remain as an exclusive for early adopters. Goro is a pretty important character in the Mortal Kombat series, so it would be a shame if he was left as an exclusive

Mortal Kombat 10, or what the developers are calling Mortal Kombat X, has now had an official trailer released for it, and things are looking pretty interesting.
