With the Xbox One X set to storm the world next month, Microsoft is gearing up their game library by releasing visual updates. Surprisingly, even some older Xbox 360 games available on the Xbox One X via backward compatibility are set to get the visual upgrade treatment.
According to Xbox, a number of Xbox 360 backward compatible games will be getting an upgrade to support a higher resolution, 9X the original pixel count, and expanded color details.
This upgrade allows to improve game visual quality without touching the game code in any way. It's called the Heutchy Method and "leverages the power of Xbox One X to let the Xbox 360 emulator present the very best version of the game possible with the existing assets--all without touching the game code."
The number of games to get upgraded visual support is quite limited so far. The Xbox 360 games available for an Xbox One X visual upgrade are Assassin's Creed, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Halo 3.

For those that forget or were unaware, Microsoft is still working on bringing mouse and keyboard support to the Xbox One. In fact, they're so close that they're almost ready to announce the first title to support mouse and keyboard support.
Director for Xbox, Mike Ybarra, recently spoke at a PAX West panel and answered some questions about the progress of keyboard and mouse support for the Xbox One.
They mentioned that the feature is still coming, but they need to be careful about how they implement it. They made it clear that they understand players are concerned about the unfairness of going up against somebody with a keyboard and mouse, so they'll make it a mission to ensure developers have guidelines in place.
With these guidelines, it will be down to the developer to decide whether they add keyboard and mouse support for their games. Developers are also encouraged to give those with a controller the option to only play with other people with a controller. It'll

A new open beta has been planned for For Honor, so if you're interested check out the details in this article.
Ubisoft has confirmed that the dates for the open beta will be from February 9 to February 12. During these dates, the beta will be playable. The upcoming open beta will include the game modes from the previous beta, as well as a few new inclusions.
Making a debut will be the Elimination mode - in this mode, players will be placed on two teams of four. The objective is simple - eliminate the players on the other team. Once a player dies, they'll have to sit out until the next round. The Elimination mode features a best of five format, so the first team to three rounds wins the match.

Have you got some change to spare? If you do, you might want to throw it at Coffee Stain Studio's genius creation/abomination Goat Simulator. The hilarious bug filled game has now made it's way to the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Whilst Coffee Stain Studios weren't in charge of the port, more than capable Double Eleven has managed to bring it to the Xbox platform without changing anything that broke away from that special Goat Simulation experience the PC version offered.
As you can imagine, Goat Simulator can only be picked up from the Xbox Store as a digital download. The game currently costs $9.99 for Xbox One and the Xbox 360. The objective of Goat Simulator is to take control of a goat and use his strangely sticky tongue to attach to objects and destroy the world around him.
The game is perhaps the most random non-game like monstrosity you'll ever lay your eyes on, and plenty of physics bugs have been left in the game to make it even more of a laugh to play through.

This week Xbox Live went down across the world and players were having trouble with connecting to the online service for a few hours. Whilst Microsoft did not explain what the issue was, a hacker group has already claimed that they were responsible for the shutdown.
Last year Microsoft dealt with a large hacking problem around Christmas time and it stopped a lot of people from connecting to the Xbox Live servers for a few days. Whilst the latest attack was no way near as severe, it still shows that Microsoft's servers are still vulnerable to attack and this is causing a disruption to the service Microsoft provides to Xbox players.
The hacker group claiming responsibility for the latest hacker attack is named TeamBudyBear and they have made statements on their Twitter to explain the attack.
"We're doing these attacks to show everyone how bad big company's care about security. We as teenagers know how to fix their servers. Pathetic."
Whilst TeamBudyBear are not
