Sleeping Dogs Combat System

In almost every one of their interviews United Front Games have been emphasizing a lot about the combat mechanics in their upcoming game, Sleeping Dogs. The combat is supposed to be intuitive, amazing and fun.

Well in their behind the scenes trailer they might have finally revealed their secret weapon. The 'who', the person that might have helped them take the whole combat experience to another level. The trailer follows UFC Walter Weight Champion George St-Pierre's visit to United Front Games and his involvement with the team.

Over the years we have seen an increased involvement of celebrities within the gaming industry. But the best way they are involved with the industry is not via gimmicky PR stunts and endorsements but by actually contributing to the games themselves.

Keeping motion capture aside, the major way these guys contribute is via voice acting which if done properly, really gives games another level of authenticity and allows gamers to connect to the story and the characters. This is why games like the Uncharted series are so great, because the voice acting and dialogue is just superb.

There are A LOT of editions coming out for Assassin's Creed 3 as Ubisoft prepares to rake in the cash. We had already gone through all the Tier 1 Collector's Editions, Special Edition and PS3 bundles but it seems there was one more that we overlooked. Can't blame us considering the amount of versions Ubisoft has been crunching out.

Limited Edition Halo 4

A few weeks back a Limited Edition Console Bundle for Halo 4 was seen on the official Microsoft Store website. As soon it was noticed it was put down again for reasons unknown. We guessed that sooner or later the console bundle will be officially announced but we are happy to say it was sooner than later.

343 Industries have confirmed the Limited Edition Console Bundle and this is what it will entail:

- Custom designed Xbox 360 Console featuring a blue led light
- Two custom designed controllers also containing blue led lights
- Standard copy of Halo 4

Madden NFL 13 Release Date is August 28th

EA sports announced their upcoming Madden 13 at E3 this year. They claimed it was going to be the biggest game of the series and supposedly had huge improvements made to it over the last. The game is currently set to be released on August 28^th of this year.

The biggest improvement is the integration of the new Infinity Engine. Thanks to the new engine the overall physics of the game has received a great overhaul which would make things such as player impacts and the transfer of player momentum the experiences looks like a real game, with no two plays looking or feeling alike. Medal of Honor is posing some serious competition against Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 this year. The Frostbite 2 engine makes that game stand out from previous shooters. It looks absolutely gorgeous and seems Danger Close are really trying to achieve new heights with this game.

Everything is destroyable and shatters into tiny bits on repeated fire. Even the chandeliers swing in reaction to the shots being fired! CoD's old engine might just cost them this time around (probably not).

Halo 4 Controller and Console

Last week it was revealed from Microsoft's site that Microsoft will be releasing a Limited Edition Halo 4 Xbox 360 Console Bundle that comes with a Halo 4 controller. Although the pre-order page has been removed, the cat's already out of the bag. Although everyone is expecting that was part of Microsoft's plan.

Either way I guess more people were actually expecting a console bundle. I mean it's HALO, Microsoft HAD to do it. Here is what you get with this bundle

More Halo 4 Details

Microsoft has given a slideshow presentation to retailers this past week in order to get them up to speed with Halo 4. The slides confirmed some pretty great details we had been hearing rumors about. Halo 4 has been officially confirmed to contain:

- 10 new weapons
- 2 new vehicles along with many of the favorites from the past
- New class of enemies - Prometheans
- Master Chief will be fighting against a new race unlike anyone has ever seen before
- Cortana starts to break down due to her degrading AI. Would Master Chief be able to save his long time companion?

Halo 4 Multiplayer News

New information has surfaced surrounding the much anticipated Xbox exclusive, Halo 4. To be more precise, the information is regarding a new requirement that needs to be fulfilled in order to play Halo 4's multiplayer.

It seems that Halo 4's multiplayer requires a total of 8 GB of free space for an install, either in the form of extra space in an Xbox 360 hard drive or an external flash drive. However, Microsoft highly recommends the in-built hard drive over the external as the former is supposed to provide a more "optimal experience". I am guessing the optimal experience means less lag and load times?
