It's been pretty clear at this point that Ubisoft is eager to keep pushing out new Assassin's Creed games each year, however there hasn't been that much information on the next entry in the series. The last game, Assassins' Creed Black Flag saw a breath of fresh air into the series, and I'm hoping that the next game manages to be unique and original enough to keep things enjoyable.
This week, after an image was leaked Ubisoft have confirmed that the next title for the Assassins' Creed series will be called Assassins' Creed: Unity.
So far, not much is really know about the next upcoming game in the series, however it's likely that the title will be directed at current gen consoles, whilst the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 will get a different title instead.
In a press release, Ubisoft stated that they have actually been working on the upcoming Assassin's' Creed game for more than three years. "We have been working on the new Assassin's Creed for more than three years

Sony have always been fairly generous with their PS Plus loyalty features, but the most appealing feature that has given many gamers a reason to subscribe is the access to the monthly PS Plus Instant Game Collection.
The Instant Game Collection is a rotation of video games that players will be able to download for free each month. At the end of the month, a new set of games is put on the rota, and the other games are no longer available for those who hadn't already redeemed them.
This month, the most recent Tomb Raider title will be put up for free for all US PlayStation Plus subscribers. The game will be the last gen version, and not the new definitive version. However, there certainly isn't any complaining to do, because Tomb Raider was a very amazing game that was released quite recently.
For PlayStation 4 owners, players will be treated to Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition. These two games will be available for the first half of the month, whilst later in the month,

Despite being out on the Xbox 360 since last year, no other ports have reached the market, apart for the pocket edition version for Android and iOS devices. However, that is about to change as it has been confirmed that 4J Studios, the team behind the console ports, has finally finished with the PS3 version and it is planned for a release this week.
On Tuesday, 17th December, Minecraft for PlayStation 3 will be available as a digital download on the PlayStation store. The Minecraft Xbox 360 version is available for around $20, so it's likely the price of the PlayStation 3 version will be similar, however we won't be able to find out until it's release day tomorrow.
Although it has taken 4J Studios a long time to port the Xbox version over to the PS3, the PlayStation version won't be missing out on any game content,

It looks like the developers of the Dead Island series aren't quite done with Zombie games just yet. A new gameplay video shows Dying Light, the new zombie title under development by Techland running smoothly at 1080P on the PlayStation 4.
The video was shown at the VGX Awards and focuses on three main pillars of the core game experience; melee combat, parkour and zombie damage.
The idea behind the game is to refresh the now worn out zombie survival genre by adding parkour elements into the game. At first I was a little curious about how Techland plan to pull this off successfully, but I was quite surprised at how smooth the gameplay experience went from parkour to zombie slashing action.
Along with the parkour mechanics, Techland have introduced a bunch of parkour-like combat actions that allow you to improvise with the environment and use hand-to-hand techniques to take on

If Fallout 4 doesn't ever make it to reality, I think we are all going to be severely disappointed. The game's series really took a great turn with Fallout 3, and since then I've always considered Bethesda one of the greatest games developers of all time, simply for the fact that they are always ambitious when tackling huge tasks like Fallout or the Elder Scrolls.
We've all been anxiously awaiting a confirmation from Bethesda about Fallout 4 - A simple yes or no at this point would be nice, but since we haven't had that yet, we've resorted to scouring the internet for anything that could resemble a confirmation that Fallout 4 is actually coming.
A new result of such internet scouring has led to the discovery of the website - thesurvivor2299.com
The website contains morse code, cryptic text and a countdown. Unfortunately there's no confirmation on whether this is actually from Bethesda or from a Fallout fan with a little too

Along with Halo, Gears of War is one of the most popular Xbox exclusive franchises that help to paint a picture of the Xbox gaming experience for most gamers, and Microsoft seem to like the idea of having the Gears of War franchise continue on the Xbox One.
In September, Microsoft Game Studios Vice President Phil Spencer was asked whether Gears of War would make a return on the Xbox One. His answer was a short, "Ask Epic."
Phil has since been interviewed by IGN, and he has delved deeper into the possibilities of a Gears of War game on the Xbox One.
Phil said, "I want to find a great Gears game, and I thought we did a good job with Judgment but I don't think it hit the level of quality we saw in the previous games."
He continued by saying "I think review scores showed that, sales showed that, and I really think that we need to take a step back with Epic and think about - I don't want to

A bit of information found on a Rockstar New England staff's LinkedIn page has given us a little insight into what another development team belonging to Rockstar could be working on at this very moment in time.
Found on the LinkedIn page was the information stating that the Rockstar developer is currently working on "the next version of a famous IP," however other than this, no details are shared on the LinkedIn page.
Luckily though, with a little bit of digging around, we may be able to get more of an idea of what game Rockstar New England could be working on.
The first thing to take notice of is that the LinkedIn page said "next version of a famous IP" meaning it has to be a follow-up to an already released game or game series, and it has to be a popular one too, but seeing as this is Rockstar we're talking about, it's pretty hard to determine what isn't considered a popular Rockstar IP.
Rockstar New England has previously worked on a few different games, but

Sony has shown off a few things at this year's Tokyo Game Show, but one of the more interesting things is the PlayStation 4 PlayRoom, a fun little gimmick that shows off the capabilities of motion capture, facial recognition and other technology related to the PlayStation Eye.
Simply put, the PlayStation 4's PlayRoom is a collection of features that showcase concepts and technologies of the PlayStation Eye, almost as if to say "We don't really have a use for it yet, but it's still a good piece of tech so come back when we have something really cool to show you."
To be honest though, the PlayRoom is pretty cool, even if it is just a toy or a gimmick.
Players will be able to interact with the PlayRoom by moving the controller, pressing buttons and moving themselves in front of the camera.
The PlayRoom will then show off all kinds of cool futuristic images and interactive scenarios on-screen.
You'll be able to

A bit of confusion has hit the internet this week. Dozens of video games websites have reported that GTA Online may have 32 player support instead of the previously announced 16 players, thanks to the help of a bunch of friendly hackers who sifted through GTA V's code to find information on a 32 player cap for online play.
The bad news is that Rockstar has dismissed this as just a rumor, and have then confirmed on twitter that the cap will be only 16 players.
@RockstarGames said "Not sure where that rumor came from but GTA Online will support 16 players."
This leaves open the possibilities for 32 player game modes outside of GTA Online that players may have to queue up to join through virtual lobbies. Perhaps we will see 32 player deathmatches or something similar. This is of course just speculation and does go against what Rockstar have already stated.
Other news that has circulated due to players messing around with GTA V's files includes PS4 and PC framework

The Dead Rising series has always been about killing zombies by getting all sorts of trash lying about the world and turning them into crazy weapons you'd never expect to think about using in real life, and Dead Rising 3 seeks to continue on with the Dead Rising crazy weapons legacy.
Microsoft has revealed a new feature in Dead Rising 3 that will take weapon crafting, zombie smashing and pretty much anything else to do with your survival to the next level.
Microsoft wrote the following: a new tier of Combo Weapons that requires at least three components (and oftentimes multiple steps and blueprints) to craft, and features unique abilities that let you decimate crowds of zombies with devastating effect. Examples include the Ultimate Powershout, a deadly concussive horn made of traffic cones; the Ultimate Grim Reaper, a flaming scythe made of a katana sword, a scythe, a gas canister and a mask; and the Massive Bomb, a mini-nuke that obliterates every zombie in your vicinity
