I walked into a local video game retail store earlier this week, and I noticed that they had boxed copies of Elder Scrolls Online for the Xbox One ready for pre-order. I thought this was pretty odd, seeing as development on the game was still well under way, and the release has now been pushed back to late 2014.
Recent news suggests that you should probably not get your hopes up if you do spot a boxed copy of Elder Scrolls Online in-store like I did, because Zenimax Online Studios may have to push back the console release of the MMO game even further.
Creative director for the project, Paul Sage, has stated that their current main goal is to get the console versions of Elder Scrolls Online ready for release at some point this year, but he also mentioned to IGN that he can't promise the game will definitely release at some point this year for consoles.
According to Zenimax, the current delays are due to a series of issues and 'unique problems' specific to the various

Last Friday Zenimax Online chose to cut off access to guild banks temporarily, most likely in an attempt to stop players from duplicating gear and equipment via various bank exploits.
Whilst Zenimax didn't mention exactly why they disabled guild banking, it was disabled shortly after a Reddit post pointed out an exploit that allowed players to potentially get infinite gear and currency.
Zenimax has since banned thousands of cheaters according to community forum members, with most of the bans being related to in-game exploits and cheats. It sounds like it's been a rocky start for Zenimax and Elder Scrolls Online, but things will most likely get smoothed out in the future.
If you're a little disappointed that the console release of the Elder Scrolls Online has been pushed back past the PC release, hopefully this news should reassure you a little. MMOs are known for having troubles at their launch, and this is usually because the games are filled with thousands of hours

Somehow, it looks as if pretty much all information about Titanfall has been let out into the wild, and through all of these leaks, we can learn a bunch of new information about the upcoming Microsoft exclusive first person shooter.
The most interesting leak that's been picked up after the maps leak is something that pertains to the information of a prestige system similar to the ones found in Call of Duty games.
According to the leaker, the prestige system in Titanfall will be called Generations, and when a player decides to reset their rank to Generation 2, they'll lose all of their unlocked perks, and they will start back at level 1.
The bonuses of Generation 2 is that players will receive 110% XP at all times, and a unique badge to show off in-game. All burn card earnt in Generation 1 will be kept, and no details have been given on whether there will be any more Generations, and what bonuses players may receive for prestiging more than once.
It has also

The next game by creator of the FPS title Blacklight Retribution is called Daylight, and it has been described to be a procedurally generated thriller with each playthrough containing new levels, thrills and puzzles to complete.
Details on the title are still pretty low key, but more information has come in this week about the game. Firstly, 1 minute's worth of gameplay content has been released in an IGN preview, and the developer gives a bit of information about the game as the gameplay is shown.
Secondly, the game has been confirmed for a set release in April, however details on whether it will be free or not have not yet been confirmed. Despite their publisher being a F2P publisher, I think Daylight will be a game developed on their own back, thanks to the support Blacklight Retribution has managed to give them, and for this reason I expect the game will have a price tag on it.
It looks strictly like a single player game, and I'm not sure how successful the title

Over the last half decade, it's become quite a popular thing for developers to make remakes of their old games. I'm not just talking about new re-imagined versions of games, either, I'm talking literal ports of ancient titles with nothing new added to it other than an HD skin, in most cases.
Personally, I always feel the idea behind playing an old game is for the nostalgia value, and HD remakes always ruin that for me a little, however if you're a fan of HD remakes, you may want to keep get your wallet out because the original Far Cry game is about to join the likes of Goldeneye, Halo: Combat Evolved, and Fable: The Lost Chapters, among others.
A Far Cry Classic remake has been rumored for a while now, and it has finally been released to the public, however details are still a bit blurry. Ubisoft seemed to have messed up a little with the promotion of the project, and despite development time being put in the remake to add revamped cutscenes, enhanced graphics and a new interface,

The Elder Scrolls Online is looking to be quite an interesting title. Despite having the typical game infrastructure as an MMO, a lot of the gameplay mechanics look very similar to the Elder Scrolls games we have all come to love, and I expect that a lot of players will be interested in delving into the Elder Scrolls Online upon it’s launch.
The only problem is that the game unfortunately comes with a subscription fee - this means that to continuously play the game, you will need to pay per month, and this is already after the original cost of the game.
This is a payment route that the traditional MMO would usually choose, however recent changes in the industry suggest that most new subscription based MMOs usually fall and become pushed to F2P by the end of their first year. World of Warcraft is now the only MMO that is still successful and is still using the same subscription based payment model.
The subscription price for The Elder Scrolls Online is $14.99 per month,

The storytelling Walking Dead video game series by Telltale games has taken most of the gaming industry by storm. A game that has very little physical gameplay content has managed to sell by the truckload, and pick up multiple awards whilst it's at it too.
I think it's great progress for the gaming industry, and I'd welcome more creative projects like this, and Beyond: Two Souls by Quantic Dream in the future.
Although it wasn't long ago that the first episode for the season 2 of Telltale's Walking Dead was released, many fans are already eagerly awaiting the next episode in the series. It has been revealed this week that the next Walking Dead season 2 episode will be "around the corner."
The news was revealed on the official Telltale Games twitter page, which was used to say, "Still. Not. Bitten. The next chapter of #TheWalkingDead Season 2 is just around the corner. Stay tuned for info!"
So far, no solid date has been set for the release of the next episode

A new monthly subscription pass will be put into effect by Sony Online Entertainment this year to allow players to get the most out of all SoE titles whilst cutting down on costs spent within each game.
The "All Access" subscription will be available for purchase starting this April, and it will cost $14.99 per month. This new all access SoE subscription will replace the previous SoE pass that currently costs $19.99.
The $14.99 per month subscription will give players the option to opt-in to special offers and loyalty rewards, and will also offer monthly rewards every month a player logs in. This will include 500 station cash per month, as well as a 10% discount on all marketplaces within SoE online games.
F2P players will not be affected in anyway, and this simply opens up options for those who already spend a fair amount of money on SoE titles each month.
So far, there has been no details on whether such a subscription will come to consoles, but with the recent

For some of you, news of concept art might sound a bit boring. It's one of the major milestones in game development though, and you can usually get a pretty good idea of how a game is going to look through concept art.
Some new concept art has been shown of Dragon Age: Inquisition, and I'm pretty happy to see that the world is shaping up to be pretty magnificent.
The graphics on the previous Dragon Age games have never been stunning, but they've certainly never been bad enough to put you off playing the game, and I expect that Dragon Age: Inquisition will have graphics that are slightly more impressive than the previous title, even if it has been announced to be released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, along with next generation versions.
The concept that has been shown gives us the impression the Inquisition will take place in the same grimy & mythical environments as the previous games, and a lot of the huge open atmospheric spaces that you usually find yourself stumbling

After tough competition from other football management games, EA has announced that FIFA Manager 14 will be the last game in the franchise.
In an open letter on the FIFA Manager blog, Gerald Kohler wrote "Today I'm writing to tell you that FIFA MANAGER 14 will be the last installment of the football simulation series marketed by EA SPORTS. This is was a very tough decision, so I want to take the time to explain it. This probably comes as a big disappointment to many of you, and it is understandable that you would ask why. "
Kohler went on to describe their defeat, and admit that although their games have been enjoyed by many, Football Manager held the crown, and has ultimately beaten FIFA Manager in every way possible.
"The football manager genre at this level of sophistication is highly specialized and primarily played in two countries (England and Germany), in which - on top of everything - one game has practically dominated the market in recent years. The niche
