With a new Call of Duty game coming out every year, the series appears to change significantly and remain the same. The furious gunplay players enjoy spiced up with new systems and weaponry, but the brand's foundation was unchanged for a long time. The Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released on November 5, 2007, 15 years ago, when the franchise finally found its footing. What specifically made this game unique? Let's examine this iconic first-person shooter game throughout the years to determine why it revolutionized competitive multiplayer games and first-person shooters.
Popularity
Many players are unaware that Call of Duty wasn't always the dominant first-person shooter. Before Call of Duty went viral, most gamers would fight it out in Halo or Unreal Tournament. When Modern Warfare was released, everything changed. Other games in the genre couldn't match the game's innovative multiplayer features for an engaging experience. At this point, it competed with other well-liked

Many players feel that playing video games during lockdowns improves their mental health. According to a poll of gamers in Europe, 16% of them shared this opinion, with multiplayer genre players expressing their opinions in particularly favorable terms. Many players consider stories a factor in rating the gaming experience because they can immerse themselves in the game and its characters. Also, the visual and audio mechanics are essential to that experience, even though many contend that video games excel when bringing people together in virtually connected multiplayer environments. While narrative-driven games have a cultural impact that leaves a lasting imprint on their players, competitive games like Fortnite are trends that come and go yearly.
The Dominance of Story-Oriented Games
World-building has no limits on the virtual plane of gaming, which is

It looks like Sony is finally catching up to us at Evil Controllers, as the company is launching a new adapter for their DualShock 4 controller that gives the device rear paddles.
The new device is called the Back Button Attachment and will feature a puck style device that plugs into the underside of the DualShock 4, putting backpedals on the back. The puck will have an OLED screen attached to it, which will allow users to program what button they want to attach to the paddles. This will give players the chance to have faster response times for firing, accelerating, or performing any type of action they want in-games.
The device appears to be an option for those that want to add some functionality to the DS4 without taking the big leap into controller mods. Of course, we’re a bit biased, but we prefer our Shift Controllers, which allow for much more customization, including hairpin triggers, larger thumbsticks, and better overall

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and you know what that means: football, filling foods, fighting with your family… and awesome Black Friday deals on video games.
By this point, the major ads from retailers have mostly all leaked, and we’ve gone through to give you the skinny on what we feel are the best video game deals available. We’re particularly fond of controllers (gee, I wonder why? ;), as well as excellent games that can be found for less than the price of a value meal at a burger joint.
Some of the best deals I’ve found so far include:
PlayStation 4 1TB Bundle w/God of War 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, & The Last of Us- This bundle is insane. Priced at $199 it comes with three of the best PS4 exclusives as well as a nice 1TB hard drive. You can find this deal at multiple spots, including Walmart.
DualShock 4 Controllers/ Xbox One Controllers at $39.99- While we know our Evil Controllers are the best (and make a great

For the money, you’d assume that the Astro C40 TR controller would be among the best in the business. The much-heralded controller was hyped extensively as being one of the best upcoming options for 2019. After the big launch though, things don’t seem to be stacking up too well for the C40 TR.
Reviewers have complained that the C40 TR has several missing features and questionable build quality. Interestingly, the C40 TR cannot power on the PS4, which is shocking to see from a $200 controller. Others have noted that there are issues with drift in the sticks, and others have complained about buttons going out after just a few weeks worth of play.
By far, the biggest issue seems to be the lack of tension in the thumbsticks. This is a real concern when you’re playing racing games or shooters, as you lose out on accuracy or control when your sticks are too loose. The issue has gotten bad enough that we’ve begun adding Pro-Tension to Astro C40 TR thumbsticks,

Since he first came onto the scene ten months ago, Air Bear has become popular for delivering honest custom game controller reviews. Going in-depth, Air Bear explains the ins and outs of different hardware, from actuators to skins to wraps, and more.
Recently, Air Bear did an Evil Controllers review where he went hands-on with our modded controllers, letting us know where we got things right as well as what we got wrong (we ended up adding the tactile triggers!). He walked viewers step by step, showing off all of the different options, which include: faceplates, mapping, grips, mods, thumbsticks, color and trim, personalization, and warranty.
Air Bear also went on to give what he would do if he was building an Evil Controller without breaking the bank. What is his build for this situation? Well, it looks something like this:
+ No faceplate
+ Add shift buttons
+ Add re-mapping
+ No sensitive buttons
+ No tactile D-pad
+ Standard left stick -

The Astro C40 TR controller teardown is a relatively simple disassembly.
In this tutorial of how to disassemble the Astro Controller, we will expose the insides and how to get inside the controller.
+ First, begin by unscrewing the middle screw underneath the label. Note that this will void your warranty!
+ Start by wedging a plastic tool in between the trigger and the side rail grip. Be careful on this step to not damage your controller.

Epic Games has launched another brand new starter pack for Fortnite. This time, it contains a brand new skin, new back bling, and some V-Bucks.
It’s a great offer for anybody interested in getting more V-Bucks or for those that are interested in purchasing their first skin.
As seen above, the new Ace Skin is themed similarly to the upcoming High Stakes Wild Card skin. It shares the same sci-fi-like bank robbery theme. The same can be said about the back bling, which is essentially a large duffel bag filled with money.
You can purchase the new Ace starter pack on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, or mobile. The pack costs $5 and it comes with 600 V-Bucks.
When you consider that the cheapest V-Bucks option costs $10 and comes with 1,000 V-Bucks, this bundle is certainly worth the money.
