It has been revealed that the first DLC of Far Cry 4 from Ubisoft will be released in January 13th. The new DLC pack has been named Escape from Durgesh Prison, and it will include a variety of new features.
For those that have purchased the $29.99 season pass, Escape from Durgesh Prison will be available for free, however other players will need to pay $9.99 to play through it. In Escape from Durgesh Prison, Far Cry protagonist Ajay Ghale will be partnered up with Hurk, a slightly mad veteran players may recognize from Far Cry 3.
As you can expect, players will need to try to escape a prison in the upcoming Far Cry 4 DLC, and this can be done solo or co-operatively with a friend or stranger online. So far, details are still on the low as far as length and story goes for the new DLC, but it has been confirmed that there will be a unique permadeath setting for the DLC.
When a player dies in Escape from Durgesh Prison, they will be forced to start again from the beginning,

In anticipation of the release of the new Havoc DLC planned for the end of January, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare developers, Sledgehammer Games, have just released a new trailer for the upcoming Exo Zombies game mode, which will be made available as part of the upcoming DLC.
Interestingly, the trailer shares a bit of a backstory into why there is a sudden zombie outbreak, and why a group of soldiers are attempting to hold off the relentless hordes. In the trailer, the story is explained -
"Untrained and unprepared, four Atlas employees must survive a horror unlike any other. John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan, and Jon Bernthal star in Exo Zombies, coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC in 2015."
It seems as if the zombies mode will be released as an episodic co-operative multiplayer mode. Whilst we aren't entirely sure, it would make sense to assume that each episode of the zombies mode will release alongside each piece of DLC for Call of Duty Advanced

The new PlayStation Plus lineup for January of 2015 has now been announced, and it looks as if gamers will be able to treat themselves to a nice library of free games throughout the month across all current Sony consoles.
It was already confirmed last month that the PS4 lineup for January would include the standalone DLC for Infamous: Second Son, as well as The Swapper. For those unaware, Infamous is one of the more popular action series exclusive to the PlayStation, and Second Son was held as one of the best PS4 games of 2014.
A little later, Infamous developers, Sucker Punch Productions, released a standalone DLC for Second Son called Infamous: Last Light - this small story based DLC gave players a taste of what the full game was like, as well as expanding on the Second Son story for those that had already played the game.
The Swapper is another interesting game, and it will be made available across all platforms via Cross-Buy this month.
As for the PS Vita

It has now been confirmed that the Call of Duty Havoc DLC, the first upcoming downloadable content pack for Advanced Warfare will be released on the 29th of this month. The new DLC pack will include a variety of new maps, as well as a few new additions, including a game mode brand new to Advanced Warfare.
The four maps have been named as Sideshow, Urban, Core and Drift. Sideshow looks to be shanty town based within a cargo ship, whilst Urban is a city area packed with buildings. Core takes place in a sandy drilling station and Drift is in a small snow town.
As well as the new maps, the Havoc DLC pack includes two new weapons, the AE4 Widowmaker, and a direct variation of the Widowmaker. Season pass holders were given the gun early, but those who buy the DLC without the season pass will still be able to pick up the gun when the DLC launches at the end of January.
The last piece of content, and perhaps most exciting in the Havoc DLC is the new exo zombies mode. It's expected

If you were affected by the PlayStation network outage over the holiday period, you may be able to claim a bit of a reward as an apology straight from Sony themselves.
Although the network problems over Christmas were caused by a hacker group, Sony has still responded with their apologies, and they are working to set up counter measures that will stop this sort of attack happening again in the near future.
To top it off, the FBI have confirmed that they are actively searching for the origins of the Lizard Squad hackers, so hopefully they will get what's coming to them.
As for the compensation, firstly all PS Plus members will receive a free five day extension to their current membership - this may not sound like a big deal as it's likely most players have already got their membership set up to recur each month. It is however a nice gesture from Sony, and the second part of the apology package will probably be a lot more appreciated.
For the entirety of January,

For many, the concept of an Elder Scrolls online game has been buried within countless other games and content that has actually managed to see the light of day since Zenimax's announcement of ESO.
Whilst The Elder Scrolls Online did manage to launch on the PC, Zenimax also promised that the game would come to consoles, but it has been delayed well past it's original launch date, and without much talk about the game by Zenimax, it has mostly been forgotten.
That is until now however, as Zenimax and Bethesda have decided to make a bit of an announcement giving details on what the plans are for the console version of The Elder Scrolls Online in the near future.
This month, Zenimax stated that console ports of ESO is still being worked on, and in fact they are still 'steadily working on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of ESO.'
Zenimax then went on to mention that the console versions of ESO are 'playable and fun right now, but there's still some work to

Are you a fan of the previous Sniper Ghost Warrior games? If you are, then I have great news for you - CI Games have confirmed that they are indeed working on a third game in the Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchise, cementing previous rumors that suggested CI weren't finished with their previous installment in the series.
Whilst CI Games have been pretty busy recently on games such as Lords of the Fallen, a recent press release from the development team has revealed their plans for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, and it is currently being developed as AAA title for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the PC.
So far, it seems as if development is still in early stages for the game though, as the press release revealed that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 would only be released at some point in 2016. This release means there's no point holding your breath just yet - CI Games have got at least a year and a bit before they release Ghost Warrior 3.
Some at CI Games suggest the game may be

Sledgehammer Games are gearing up to release their first ever DLC for their top selling COD title, Advanced Warfare, and from what we have seen so far, there is quite a lot to get excited about.
Whilst many DLCs from the Call of Duty franchise have exclusively contained a variety of new maps, the new Havoc DLC for Advanced Warfare contains some extra content as well as the expected new map lineup.
In the new DLC reveal trailer, two new guns have been revealed as part of the Havoc DLC, both of which are available as early access content for Xbox One players. The first weapon is the AE4 assault rifle, an energy gun that has a similar design to the energy shotgun and other energy rifle already in the game.
The second new weapon in the Havoc DLC pack for Advanced Warfare is the AE4 Widowmaker, a custom variant of the same energy assault rifle model.
So far, we do not know what new maps will be revealed for Havoc, but we expect that Sledgehammer Games will include

Thanks to the quick connectivity of the internet, games developers can communicate with their fans in new ways that can help game development become more in-line with what the players want.
Usually, new features are added to games based on player input, but recently, a little too much criticism left Tekken 7 game director Katsuhiro Harada with no choice other than to press the red button on one of the games new characters, at least that's what he's told us.
After announcing Lucky Chloe, a bouncy bubble, female character dressed up with plenty of kitten themed accessories, NeoGAF members argued that the character was very shallow and was completely unnecessary for Tekken 7.
After hearing these complaints, Harada reacted by revealing that Lucky Chloe will no longer be available in the United States. He further went on to explain that the new character would only be available in East Asia and Europe, and detailed that American players would prefer Lucky Chloe to be replaced

When it comes to any news about Final Fantasy, there are often a lot of mixed feelings. Whilst there are certain games in the franchise that many gamers have come to despite, there are also timeless classics that everybody adores, and one such game is going to be getting a new HD treatment in anticipation for a PlayStation 4 launch.
The game in question is Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD, and whilst this game has already had an HD remaster for the PS Vita and the PlayStation 3, it will be the first time this game has been ported over to the newest Sony console.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD will be launched for the PlayStation 4 and it will be made available both from the PlayStation network and from within select brick and mortar retail stores early next year.
It is expected that the new HD remaster won't have many improvements over the previously released PS3 and PS Vita versions, although there may be some unexpected surprises. We will have to wait for the launch to see what Square
