Respawn Entertainment has just announced that Titanfall will be receiving its first DLC pack later this year, some time in May. The new DLC pack has been named Expedition, and Respawn announced the pack at a panel at PAX East last weekend.
At the panel, Respawn revealed that the new Titanfall DLC pack will include three new multiplayer maps, each with their own theme.
The first map to be included in the Expedition DLC pack is Swampland, which is a map that has been based off of 'archaic alien technology.' The second Expedition map has been named Runoff, and this will be a water based map, perhaps similarly to the lagoon map already in Titanfall.
The third and final map for the new Titanfall DLC has been called War Games and it is based off of the training simulator that players play through when first starting the game. Perhaps the most interesting map is Swampland, which, according to Respawn Entertainment, will include lots of tree running parkour opportunities.

Despite the game already being in a fully released state, Respawn Entertainment are still hard at work on Titanfall, and they are adding, and have plans to add many new free features for the title in the future.
This week, a large patch was released for Titanfall that brought a few new features to the game, as well as a whole host of balancing tweaks and fixes. One of the biggest included features in the new patch is the inclusion of a private lobby system.
Previously, players had no methods to set up organized matches between one another, making matchmaking the only form of play. However, with the private lobby system, players will be able to invite friends (or foes) and battle it out against each other however they'd like.
The addition of private lobbies opens up the gates for a whole host of opportunities, including private local play, Machinima, and even possible E-sports tournaments, so it was definitely a good call for Respawn to add them to Titanfall.

As you may already know, Respawn Entertainment recently pushed out a patch to Titanfall that was intended to make finding balanced teams much easier, however since it has been released, more issues with the matchmaking system have been created.
Whilst matchmaking games are now generally a lot more balanced out, the waiting time for finding a well balanced match takes much too long in it's current state, and many players have expressed their frustration with the system.
Respawn are still working on creating a long term fix for the matchmaking system, but for the time being they have "turned down the effect of the new matchmaking to help players find games." This means games will be a little less balanced than this current patch, but games will also be found considerably faster.
The matchmaking system in place is certainly a good system for stopping overbalanced teams from ruining the experience for other players, but at this point all of the waiting needed to find the

Whilst Titanfall has already been out for a while on both PC and Xbox One, Respawn Entertainment did originally plan for the title to have an Xbox 360 version released on the same date, too.
However, delays in the development for the last gen port meant that the original release date had to be pushed back for the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall, but it's finally almost time for the game to release, and despite previous concerns, it's looking like it may run fairly smoothly on the old machine.
Whilst development for the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall was handed down to Bluepoint Games, things should not be very different to the PC or Xbox One versions. Senior producer of the Titanfall 360 port, Daryl Allison, stated that despite the Xbox 360 being inferior in terms of hardware capability, the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall won't have any limitations.
"Titanfall on the Xbox 360 is the true experience: all the maps, modes, pilots, titans, weapons, burn cards, you name it,

If you've been playing Titanfall at all over the last few weeks, you may have noticed that the team balancing system in place doesn't really feel like it's there at all. In fact, as it stands, it seems just as likely to have a full team of generation pilots against a team of new players, as it is to have a fair, balance game across both teams.
However, this is likely to change in the future, and Respawn Entertainment have already addressed it as an issue. In fact, Respawn have already worked on a system that should sort out the matchmaking balancing issues, and it should be available in the game in the near future.
For the time being, the new updated matchmaking system has been pushed out to a small beta server that players have access to. In the beta server, and all other servers once the full matchmaking balancing update goes live, the game will spend more time looking for equal matches instead of simply jumping to the most optimized game as quickly as possible.

Titanfall is a great game, and it has already captivated me for many hours over the weekend. However, there are always areas to improve upon, and it looks like EA and Respawn plan to do this at some point in the future.
EA has already secured rights for a sequel in the Titanfall franchise, which means Respawn Entertainment may be getting ideas for Titanfall 2 already. Titanfall did manage to sell around 700,000 copies in it's first week, but whether or not you'd consider these numbers good for a console exclusive, there's no denying that there was a lot of hype for Titanfall, and that alone should be enough for EA and Respawn Entertainment to consider creating a second Titanfall.
We've already suggested that a second Titanfall would come, and hopefully it will improve upon the few things the current game seems to be missing. This includes more weapon availability, new game modes, and include customizations for weapons and pilot appearance. I think it'd be great to be able

According to Respawn Entertainment community manager Abbie Heppe, Titanfall's upcoming DLC content could include some creatures and monsters that may allow players to discover the various alien species within the lore of the game.
Despite three DLC packs in the works, it seems as if Titanfall aren't yet 100% sure what the three packs will consist of, but we all know new maps will be included. When asked about aliens and monsters, Heppe stated that, "We are going to have maps added, and we're trying to give players as much of a varied look at things as we can so that is definitely a possibility."
Many maps in Titanfall already have various creatures and spaceships in the background that can be killed for extra experience so it's possible that the DLC maps will make similar creatures more of a focus, instead of just a background element.
Whatever content the DLC packs include, Respawn seem to be keen on allowing players to explore the world of Titanfall even further,

Despite the game being already available for purchase, Respawn Entertainment's executive producer, Drew McCoy, has revealed that they have plans to include a few new features for Titanfall free of charge. One of these features will be the inclusion of private lobbies, which will allow players to play outside of a matchmaking lobby. This will open up a bunch of new opportunities for Titanfall, from competitive matches to machinima. Private lobbies are definitely something that the game needs so I'm excited to see them being integrated into the game.
The second upcoming feature mentioned by McCoy is a companion app for Titanfall. The companion app had already been planned alongside the game's development, but it has since been delayed. Drew McCoy has stated that the companion app is coming soon, although he hasn't detailed what the app will actually be capable of doing.
Finally, McCoy has touched on the subject of adding new game modes. He has revealed that although new
