Mortal Kombat Pre-Order Goodies

I've never had a huge issue with pre-order bonuses. In most cases, the content added through pre-ordering your game at a local game store always felt additional. It wasn't until recently that I've felt like pre-ordering was actually more like paying ransom. Since when did content that feels fundamental to the game suddenly get taken from the experience and split apart amongst different retailers?

Mortal Kombat 9 is a prime example. At this point I think it's safe to say that 80% of the people that will be excited for the newest Mortal Kombat have experience with the old Mortal Kombats, they've been there and done that with Mortal Kombat. We'll be back though to see how they've improved something we love, but we'll also be back for nostalgia's sake. So why then, when nostalgia will be such a heavy part of the experience, are they going to limit available fatalities to where you purchase the game? Fatalities were what made Mortal Kombat.

As of now, classic character skins and classic fatalities are limited to where you pre-order the game.Doing so at Amazon gives you the classic Reptile skin and Reptile's classic fatality, Best Buy gives you Sub-Zero's, and Game Stop gives you Scorpion's. For those of you that want all three I'd advise communicating with your friends and splitting your purchases. It's a shame though that we can't just get all three.
