2019 has been a great year for games, as it seems like everyone has gotten something that they enjoy, no matter the genre. At Evil Controllers, we play a LOT of games, and we’ve cobbled together a list of what we feel are the best games of the year, and why.
Here we go:
Resident Evil 2 Remake- I’m a huge fan of the original Resident Evil 2 on PlayStation, but I think I love the new game even more. It’s simply stunning graphically, and the gameplay is less stiff, bringing a sense of flow that just wasn’t there in the original. Cobbling in the great story with thrilling frights make this an absolute must-play.
Luigi’s Mansion 3- It’s been a while since we’ve seen the portly plumber’s brother in a haunted mansion style game, but Nintendo has knocked it out of the park here. The game is available for the Nintendo Switch and is oozing with charm. Hunting ghosts

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Season 1 pass has gone live on PS4, Xbox One, and PC consoles, letting players get in on expanded game modes, special ops missions, and more.
The season launched alongside an update that added four new maps, which are open to all players. Ground War gets a new map called Port, while Gunfight mode gets Atrium and Cargo maps. An old map from the OG Modern Warfare is also being introduced, with Crash. Two other maps are going to be made live during the season, with Shipment and Vacant coming online at some point.
Those who buy into the season pass will get a new Reinforce mode that sees players getting a single life. Your goal is to survive and capture one of three flags. Doing so will grant respawns to players on your team. Two other game modes are coming, but they’re not available as of the launch of the pass.
The five new special ops missions include Operation Strongbox, Operation Just Reward, Pitch Black, Bomb Squad, and Grounded. The

An exclusive multiplayer mode in the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game will be exclusive for PS4 for nearly a year.
The Survival Mode will be exclusive to the console until October 1st, 2020, as it falls under the guise of the Spec Ops mode that can be played in either solo mode or co-op. The exclusivity is a big get for the PlayStation brand, and the company was sure to tease the mode during their State of Play event on September 24th.
Call of Duty is hotly anticipated, and players will be wise to get their hands on a good controller in order to have the edge when it comes to multiplayer play. At Evil Controllers we have custom controllers that can be completely customized. You can add in shift paddles, adjustable thumbstick tension, tactile D-pads, tactile triggers, mods, custom colors, and more. Our mods start at just $69.95 and go up from there.
There have been multiple beta tests that have been conducted for the game over

The beta for the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is bringing in some new modes this weekend, including a 64 person multiplayer mode that harkens back to the classic days of Battlefield on the PC.
The new mode is called Ground War mode and will feature 32 on 32 combat, including the ability to use vehicles to eliminate the other team. The map for the beta mode will be Karst River Quarry and will resemble the popular Modern Warfare 2 Map “Quarry”. This map will grow and allow players to ride in APCs and other vehicles, blasting away as you try to take down your foes.
The beta for this round will go live on September 19th at 10am PST for those who preorder the game. If you’re not set on preordering, you can get in on the action beginning on September 21st.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a fresh game that shares an identical name to the 2007 version of the game that took the world by storm. This version will feature

During this past weekend Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developers Infinity Ward held their latest beta test, allowing users to test out the hotly anticipated 2v2 mode.
The new mode is one of the most anticipated features of the upcoming game, which launches on October 25th across PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The mode favors quick play, but does require players to adjust their strategy a bit from the typical multiplayer modes.
One thing that we’re anticipating is a lot of fast action, which I’ve personally experienced during my play sessions. Even though there are still a few things to be ironed out, the game looks sharp and plays smoothly on PS4. Gunfight (the name of the new mode), is something else, and I’d say I felt more pressure and “in the moment” than I even did in Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode.
Of course, we’re anticipating the different mods that we’ll be able to set up for use with our Evil Controllers. We may be a bit biased, but I think that we have the best

Infinity Ward’s new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was shown off a bit more on July 11th, showcasing a new Gunfight Mode that’s meant for busy players looking for a fast bit of action.
The mode is 2-on-2 action and is one of 20 game modes that have been announced for the title. The game has 40-second rounds and urges players to be wise about their strategy, whereas most games have over-the-top action for rounds. There is no health regeneration, and the first squad that racks up six victories takes the entire match.
Other differences from popular Call of Duty modes include customizable load-outs, with weapons pre-determined before you start your round. The final number of maps for Gunfight Mode isn’t set in stone, but Infinity Ward has indicated that they’re looking at around three maps.
We watched some of the streams today, and while it’s definitely Call of Duty, there is a whole element that feels different, as you have to be very

The 2019 version of Call of Duty that players are getting this year is set to be titled: “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”, bringing players back a decade when “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” launched.
The game is set in the same universe as the previous title, and is being developed by Infinity Ward, who also put out “Call of Duty: Ghosts” and “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare”. The game will have its own storyline, but it's not known whether or not it will feature characters from the Modern Warfare branch of games.
The game has been leaked to key streamers and the likes of NFL stars for the past few weeks, but the rest of us may have to wait until next week to get some details. There’s speculation that the game will be revealed on May 30th, but there’s no hard information to back up that claim. If we don’t hear anything on the rumored date, we’ll almost certainly get some details at E3, which takes place in Los Angeles next month.

Activision executives confirmed yesterday that the new Call of Duty will be announced soon, setting the internet ablaze with anticipation and rumors.
The revelation was made during a phone call with investors, where executives generally give boring information about revenues, debts, and such. Once in a while though, we’re treated to good nuggets of information, and this proved to be one such time. According to the company, Activision will be announcing the next title sometime before the end of June.
There are rumors that the newest entry into the series will be Modern Warfare 4, but that is so far unsubstantiated. The game is being developed by Infinity Ward, with their most recent game being Black Ops 4, which launched in October of last year. The game was reviewed well and introduced a Battle Royale mode.
Activision seems keen on keeping player numbers up post-launch for the newest entry, with COO Collister Johnson noting: “We

With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 now out and available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the reviews are starting to roll in.
The general consensus for Black Ops 4 is very good. In fact, many people are claiming Black Ops 4 to be the best COD game for a long, long time.
It seems that long term COD lovers and COD haters are coming together to enjoy Black Ops 4.
There are three key elements to Black Ops 4’s latest success. The first is the refined multiplayer, which adds important changes to health, gadgets, and overall balancing.
These changes are huge for competitive gameplay and make a big difference for the casual players, too. It’s a fresh change for COD that has brought a lot of players back to the franchise for the first time in years.
The second winning feature for Black Ops 4, and perhaps the most impactful, is the new Blackout Battle Royale mode. Many people are putting down Fortnite for the first time since it launched to pick up and play Blackout. Interestingly,
