With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 now out and available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the reviews are starting to roll in.
The general consensus for Black Ops 4 is very good. In fact, many people are claiming Black Ops 4 to be the best COD game for a long, long time.
It seems that long term COD lovers and COD haters are coming together to enjoy Black Ops 4.
There are three key elements to Black Ops 4’s latest success. The first is the refined multiplayer, which adds important changes to health, gadgets, and overall balancing.
These changes are huge for competitive gameplay and make a big difference for the casual players, too. It’s a fresh change for COD that has brought a lot of players back to the franchise for the first time in years.
The second winning feature for Black Ops 4, and perhaps the most impactful, is the new Blackout Battle Royale mode. Many people are putting down Fortnite for the first time since it launched to pick up and play Blackout. Interestingly,

COD Blackout has been up and available on beta for PS4 pre-orderers this week and we’ve had the chance to get our hands on it.
We have to say that we’re very impressed with what we’ve seen so far. There was a lot of criticism directed toward Activision when the Blackout mode was announced, but we think that’ll all be dropped once everybody gets their hands on the game.
In Blackout, 88 players join the same open world map. Just like other battle royale games, the idea is that only one player or team can survive.
You’ll choose where you land and from there you must pick up loot scattered around the world. You’ll find everything from SMGs to RPGs on the ground, as well as a range of utility items.
Blackout also has a selection of vehicles in the world, including helicopters, large trucks, and ATVs. This is very exciting to see - vehicles are something we haven’t seen in Call of Duty for a very, very long time.
The vehicles work smoothly, but they fit into

We’ve already had the pleasure to test Black Ops 4’s standard multiplayer ahead of schedule, but now we will also get the chance to try out the new Blackout game mode before the full launch.
Activision has now revealed that Blackout will be getting a beta in September. We have the full scoop on the beta date and supported platforms in this article.
For those unaware, Blackout is COD’s new battle royale mode. It’s not the only AAA game getting one this year. Both Black Ops 4 and Battlefield V will be receiving one.
However, with Blackout’s beta going live in September, Blacks Ops 4 will be the first battle royale mode we get to see in a triple A shooter.
Firstly, if you're a PS4 player, you'll get to experience Blackout early.

The recent Black Ops 4 beta was mostly met with optimism and positivity, but there were some areas that definitely needed some extra attention.
Recently, Treyarch took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the feedback they received during the beta. Treyarch also left some comments on the changes they will be bringing to Black Ops 4 before it launches on October 12.
Firstly, the fog of war minimap feature is getting reworked massively. Many players felt that the minimap was a little too overpowered in the beta, and Treyarch agreed. They will tone it down a little bit in full release.
Tac-Deploy was a topic for hot debate in the beta. With this tool, a team member can essentially change the spawn position of the team, but it proved to be a little too powerful.
As a result, Treyarch will be shortening the time the Tac-Deploy is active. On top of this, only 10 spawns per Tac-Deploy are possible before it shuts down.
Perhaps the biggest change was the adjustments

The Black Ops 4 beta is live. During the beta, a lot of changes have been noticed by the community. One such change is the introduction of a new weapon ballistics feature.
Weapons in Black Ops 4 will behave differently depending on their weapon class. With this, bullet drop and things like spread will be added to balance out the different weapon classes.
So far, we haven’t noticed all of the weapon ballistic changes that have been added, but one clear change is found on SMGs.
In past COD games, SMGs were often all-in-one killing machines. They were fast firing and could be used at relatively any distance. In Black Ops 4, this is no longer the case. SMGs start to falter at longer ranges due to changes to their weapon ballistics.
This will make players think harder about which weapons to use to suit their playstyle. The weapon ballistic changes will also be important for creating a more competitive environment. Hopefully, players will be forced to rely on each

This year there has been a huge Pro Xbox One controller shortage due to a mixture of
manufacturing limitations and a larger interest from the general public.
As a result, many of the biggest aftermarket controller manufacturers are facing global shortage
issues. To make things worse, most companies are unable to provide a date for when they will be able
to deal with back orders for those interested in out of stock Xbox One pro controllers. What Is Causing The Pro Xbox Controller Shortage?
One of the major reasons why pro Xbox controllers are out of stock right now is because
Microsoft is moving away from the non-Bluetooth variant of their Xbox One controller.
Many custom Xbox controller manufacturers are still using the version without Bluetooth, which
means they need to deal with some adjustments before they can start shipping out the new
models. This is the main reason why there is such a large

Call of Duty has always had a strong eSports focus - in recent years the developers and publisher responsible for the Call of Duty franchise have worked hard to push out more support for eSports in the series, and this support isn't going to stop with Call of Duty World War 2.
In fact, Sledgehammer Games, the developer in control of COD WW2, has been in contact with professional Call of Duty players to help shape the competitive aspects of World War 2.
Michael Condrey, co-founder of Sledgehammer games, had a few positive things to say about their interaction with pro players and their work on making COD WW2 an eSports friendly title.
When asked about pro players, Micheal Condrey mentioned that "They've been fantastic and excited and in many ways, I think they enjoyed returning to a grounded experience with more strategy without the mechanical element. It plays right into what they've been asking for."
Michael was impressed by the amount of positive comments they

Details for the multiplayer in the new Call of Duty WW2 have been spilled at this year's E3. We now have a gameplay trailer for the multiplayer aspect of WW2, and a confirmation on the date for the PS4 multiplayer beta.
Firstly, the new multiplayer reveal trailer for Call of Duty WW2 has now gone live. The trailer features a number of noteworthy shots. Some of the environments players can expect to play in are seen. Locations include Normandy in France; the Ardennes Forest in Belgium, and Aachen in Germany.
Some gameplay footage was also shown. Straight off the bat, it's clear that this is a Call of Duty game - but it certainly feels more in-line with the earlier Call of Duty titles. Those that played Call of Duty World at War will feel at home with Call of Duty WW2, that's for sure.
While the game has a more gritty, realistic approach, it'll still have a number of trademark Call of Duty features, including a Zombies mode.
In other news, the Call of Duty WW2
