EA and Respawn’s battle royale extravaganza Apex Legends has started its second season, having launched with several changes on July 2nd.
The new season will run through October 1st and will see changes to the map, the appearance of leviathans, new weapons, and different cosmetic changes for players. The launch of the season happened simultaneously across the Xbox, PlayStation, and PC ecosystems, with gamers set to battle it out alongside their friends for complete victory in Kings Canyon.
The introduction of the leviathans sees the beasts stomping down on the map, destroying villages and potentially stomping on players. The change is striking, seeing how you’re duking it out with a bunch of other players, all while these huge monsters are walking without a care in the world, destroying swaths of land.
Other changes include new costumes and emotes, as well as new loading screens, jump music, and different weapons. A new legendary

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away (or in a conference hall in Los Angeles), EA unveiled gameplay footage of their new Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order game.
The gameplay was shown at the EA Play 2019 event and featured former Jedi padawan Cal Kestis allied with guerrilla fighter Saw Gererra, as the two plot to take down imperial forces on the Wookie-inhabited planet of Kashyyyk.
The player is tasked with breaking into a refinery, where he encounters stormtroopers. Using his force abilities alongside his trusty lightsaber, Cal creates all sorts of havoc. Working alongside Cal is his droid BD-1, who can help break into different locked areas and provide schematics for the budding Jedi.
The gameplay seems to be a mixture of other Star Wars games like Force Unleashed alongside environmental traversing titles like Uncharted. One interesting sequence showed Cal pulling a stormtrooper to him, where he was then impaled through the

California-based video game developer Visual Concepts is reporting that more NBA 2K19 players are using the Portland Trailblazers after the team’s stunning series win against the Oklahoma Thunder last week.
Damian Lillard sank the Thunder on a last second 3-pointer in Overtime during Game 5 of the first round of the NBA playoffs. The shot was seen live on national television and has done wonders for the popularity of the Oregon-based team.
According to 2K19’s official Twitter page, there’s been a 62% increase in players electing to play as the Trailblazers following the win. Lillard and teammate C.J. McCollum are rising stars in the NBA, and gaining national exposure with big playoff performances is helping. It’s unknown whether or not the selection increase only applies to online games, but we reckon that there’s a surge in offline modes as well.
NBA 2K9 is the long-standing champ when it comes to video game basketball, easily

A brand new update has gone live for Battlefield 1 and it contains a huge number of changes and tweaks to the game.
To begin with, the new patch adds a brand new map to Battlefield 1. The new map is called Lupkow Pass - it's available to anybody that has either the season pass or the Name of the Tsar DLC.
The new Lupkow Pass map is set in Russia, deep in the Carpathian mountains. A lot of the new map is focused on verticality and fights between different levels of the mountains.
While the new map is limited to those that have the DLC, there are a number of features and changes in the new update that is available to everybody.
One of the biggest changes includes a bug fix that stops the weapon loadout UI from disappearing. The horse turn speed has been increased by 25% too, which will make those that use the horse more mobile.
DICE has also made it so jumping over obstacles with horses has been improved. The jumping mechanic is now far more reliable, so

Battlefield 1 is getting a brand new game mode that'll limit team size and put emphasis on team play within a much smaller squad.
The new game mode is called Incursions and it will feature a 10-player limit, with 5 players per team. While the player limit has been limited severely in the Incursions mode, it will still feature maps and vehicles that are used in other game modes.
To begin with, Incursions will go into a closed alpha state. During this time, players can register their interest to try the game mode and help to build the experience for the community. Afterwards, the game will be pushed out to live servers on all platforms that support Battlefield 1.
To begin with, the game mode will be limited to the PC during alpha phase. During this time, gameplay mechanics could be adjusted drastically. For now, though, DICE's vision for Incursions is to create a strategy-focused game mode with a highly competitive skill curve.
"Your choice in kit plays a critical

One of the first complaints that players had with the first DICE Battlefront game was that the game didn't have any space battles.
This was a feature in the original Battlefront franchise that a lot of fans appreciated. Thankfully, Battlefront 2 will be getting space battles and the gameplay has been showcased in a brand new trailer from EA.
A brand new game mode is coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2 called Starfighter Assault - this is the mode that will incorporate most of the new space gameplay. In Starfighter Assault, one team must work together to destroy a starfighter, while the other team must try to keep it alive.
Players will have the opportunity to fly through space in a number of popular Star Wars spaceships, including TIE Fighters and A-Wings.
Besides the space combat, everything else about the new Starfighter Assault mode will remain the same. This means players will be able to use various pickups spread around the arena.
Players will also

The Specialization system in Battlefield 1 is soon to get a complete rework and it'll completely change the balancing of the game, hopefully for the better.
Specializations have been in Battlefield since the very beginning, but surprisingly they never made it into Battlefield 1. Well, with an upcoming update, they'll finally make their way into Battlefield 1.
Players will be able to pick up to three perks at once, from a collection of 15 different perks.
The new perk and specialization system will first make its way to the PC public test environment for the community and developer testing. It may then take some time for any issues to be ironed out before it's pushed to all live servers on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
To begin with, Battlefield 1 will give players the three same specializations to play with. This may change in the future, but for now, players will have decreased damage from explosives, reduced suppression, and quicker heal regeneration. Players will

A brand new free DLC pack is making its way to all Titanfall 2 players and it's going to change how weapon loadouts work.
The new DLC pack has been dubbed "The War Games" and it will be launched on June 27 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
The highlight of the new DLC pack has to be the first new map, aptly named War Games. This map takes some inspiration from the layout in Angel City to create a multi-level small city. The aesthetic for the War Games map is quite unique - all of the elements in the map feature a VR style graphics style.
Another new map will be making its way into the War Games DLC. The second map is called Traffic.
Traffic is considered by Respawn to be a "weather test site" that spans across an intersection between two busy modes. Traffic is locked down to the 6v6 Fire mode.
Gameplay-wise, the most important change to the new update is the additional weapon slot for a player's loadout. Starting June 27, it will now be possible for

You can blame EA for this one. Mass Effect Andromeda will be receiving microtransactions.
The microtransactions in Mass Effect Andromeda will be included alongside the base price of the game and the season pass for the future DLC content. The microtransactions available will allow users to purchase 'Andromeda points' which is currently understood to be a currency that will be used in the multiplayer portion of Mass Effect Andromeda.
The description online retailers have been using for the Andromeda points packs is shown below.
"Andromeda Points are an in-game currency for the Mass Effect: Andromeda Multiplayer mode only. These points can be purchased with real world currency and can be used instead of the earned in-game currency to obtain new Multiplayer packs, which contain items used in the Multiplayer mode."
Unfortunately, we do not know what the multiplayer packs will include, or whether these packs will provide users with benefits or buffs. Hopefully, EA
