Battle Duty: Modern Field 3 Trolls Everyone While Bordering Copyright Infringement
At first, I thought this was a joke, but according to Joystiq, it is not. A company named Imba Entertainment made a satirical shooter that is basically trolling both Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3. Battle Duty: Modern Field 3 is an actual game available right now on the App Store for your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad (if its iOS 3.2 or higher).
Since it claims that it's a satirical game, it can get away using real content from both games. The content includes

The Ministry of Defense for the UK Wants BF3 and MW3-like Simulators for their Military
It's no secret that today's soldiers train on video game style simulators. Both the Secret Service and British servicemen use Virtual Battlepace 2 as part of their training regiment. The VBS2 is a product of Bohemia Interactive, who also made the first Operation Flashpoint games. However these simulators need an update from it's 2007 model. And in the video game world, that's about the equivalency of being ancient. With recruits already having experienced the better graphics and gameplay of titles like Battlefield 3 and Modern

South Korea Has Some Issues with Diablo III's Auction Mechanics
In South Korea, Blizzard games are huge. And when I mean huge, I mean it's their national sport. In other countries, soccer or baseball is broadcast over the airwaves. In South Korea, it's Starcraft. While Starcraft has its following in the country, Diablo has its own in Korea and throughout the world.
However, the country's governmental Game Rating Board could delay Diablo III's launch. According to The Korea Times, the reason is because of Diablo III's in-game virtual auction and how sensitive the government

EA Brings Out a Remake of Hard Hitting NFL Blitz
So if you haven't heard the news, EA sports decided to remake another popular sports series (and personally one of my favorites), NFL Blitz. Yes sir, the sports arcade title that was responsible for my love of football and hard-hitting tackles is back and remade into a high-definition arcade downloadable game.
While there are a few new modes to the game like online Blitz Battles and an Elite league where you can create dream teams via collecting cards, the main mode everyone is looking forward to is Blitz Gauntlet, where you

Despite Lack of Sales in the Region, They're Opening a XBox 360 Store in Japan
As you have read in my previous blogs, Microsoft's XBox 360 isn't doing that well in Japan. Microsoft's lack of success is huge as it only sells from two to three thousand consoles a week in Japan. And with news of pulling most materials for the console from Japanese stores, it hasn't stopped one shop in Yamaguchi Prefecture from making a store dedicated to the XBox 360 (according

Nintendo Releases the Official Zelda Timeline to Stop all the Debating of the Timeline
Kotaku got their hands on the newest art book for the Legend of Zelda and to everyone's surprise, it contained a Japanese layout of the series ever-so confusing timeline. The book has been out now for sometime, giving plenty of time for proofreads and translations. And now, finally, Nintendo can end all of the internet debates on exactly how the timeline of Zelda is really played out.
And while there are some doubters out there about the entire timeline, it should

The 3DS Still Beats Out the Vita in Japan
Despite that it's not out here in the states, the PlayStation Vita is currently out in Japan. Its release was met with the usual kinds of enthusiasm and long lines. And it has met tons of favorable praise from the hordes of Sony faithful as well as local Japanese media outlets. However, when it comes to making comparisons with its competitor, Nintendo and its 3DS, that's a bit of a different story.
The sales numbers from the latest reports show that Nintendo still dominates the portable gaming console market, despite the huge sales of the Vita. According to some

Ellen McLain Will Be Voicing Characters in DOTA 2
Ellen McLain, who is known for voicing the Administrator in Team Fortress 2 and GlaDOS in the Portal series, will be returning to voice a couple of characters in DOTA 2 (according to an article on Joystiq). DOTA 2 (aka Defense of the Ancients, aka the reason why my homework was neglected in college) will be released sometime (read: Valve Time) in 2012.
In a recent interview, Ellen stated that she and her husband John Patrick Lowrie (who voices the Sniper in Team Fortress
