Gaikai Cloud Service on a Sony Console
Sony has confirmed its plans to acquire the cloud gaming service Gaikai for a lump sum of $380 million. Why you wonder? Andrew House, President of Sony Computer Entertainment, shed a bit more light on the matter.
Mr. House mentioned that Sony is currently aiming to create a new cloud service which will allow users to experience a wide variety of content "instantly" on the go from pretty much any internet connected devices; the content would range from HD movies and videos to hard core 3D games.
There were a lot of rumors going about this deal all the way to E3 this year where sources were claiming that Sony was trying to significantly improve

'Total War: Rome' Sequel Announced
Sega has just announced the sequel, Total War: Rome II, which has been in development at The Creative Assembly. It is only available for the PC and is currently set to be launched at the end of 2013.I am a MASSIVE fan of Rome: Total War which came out about 8 years ago. Even though the first game got me hooked to the series, none of its successors had been successful in surpassing the original in my opinion. I don't know what I loved about that game but, I have finished the campaign with pretty much every faction.
The sequel will be keeping the signature top view perspective for RTS combat. Like always you can zoom all the way down to one soldier or

More Halo 4 Details
Microsoft has given a slideshow presentation to retailers this past week in order to get them up to speed with Halo 4. The slides confirmed some pretty great details we had been hearing rumors about. Halo 4 has been officially confirmed to contain:
- 10 new weapons
- 2 new vehicles along with many of the favorites from the past
- New class of enemies - Prometheans
- Master Chief will be fighting against a new race unlike anyone has ever seen before
- Cortana starts to break down due to her degrading AI. Would Master Chief be able to save his long time companion?Unfortunately the slides contained no new details about

Info Naughty Dog's New PS3 Game
Naughty Dog revealed a bit more info recently about their new IP, The Last of Us. They mentioned that there would be several ways of going about the game in terms of what you chose to do and when. For example, you can choose to sneak past a group of baddies or eliminate them all while risking your resources.
Naughty Dog also verified that even though players will have such options throughout the game (which will give it a sandboxy feel), the game will not have multiple endings. As such, you can play the game however you like but everyone will get the same ending.
Also, we had all been wondering whether we will get to play co-op

New Xbox 720 Information Leaked
There has been a huge leak, a 56 page document containing info on Microsoft's 5 year plan, regarding the future Xbox 720 from within the walls of Microsoft. Although the information has not been confirmed to be authentic, Microsoft's law firm has demanded that the information be removed from the internet. Even though this cannot be used as justification of the information being real, it sure feels great to believe so.
This is what was mentioned in the leaked document:
-The Xbox 720 is going to come bundled with the Kinect Version 2.0
-It will have a Blu-Ray drive (we are all expecting as much)
-A tablet integration -

Dishonored Info
From Bethesda Softworks comes Dishonoured, a game involving a Steampunk world and an assassin with supernatural powers. The game had been revealed for some time now but only recently did the developers actually show some gameplay footage. Currently the game is set to be released on the 9th of October 2012. Check out the super cool trailer from the following like before we head into the details:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1HlYTukh9AAs you can see, this game is a like the love child of Bioshock and Assassin's Creed! The story takes place in the Steampunk city of Dunwal which is being

Counter Strike: Global Offensive Info
Counter Strike: Global Offensive is not exactly a great leap for the series. It is not meant to be Counter Strike 2 but a revamp of the old game. That being said, we should not sell this game short as any CS veteran would be more than happy with this game. The game will be available for PC, Xbox360, PS3 and PC players.
Valve has actually spent some time and tweaked some of the factors of the game, the most noticeable of which is the new and improved look of the game. The map layouts, loadout interface and the physics of the game have also gone through some changes.
Anyone who has ever played any of the games from the series will instantly recognize

Watch Dogs
In my opinion, Ubisoft won this year's E3. They launched games on every possible platform and all of them looked amazing. They also had a nice little surprise for us at the end of their presentation. Ubisoft Montreal had been working on a new IP for a while which had been kept completely hidden. The game is called Watch Dogs and from the initial gameplay demo I can already tell you that this is going to be a keeper.
The game takes place in the future where everything electronic is run by a Central Operating System termed CTOS. So basically everything (subways, security cameras, traffic lights etc.) is run by the CTOS. Thanks to this, the Private Companies who control the system are nearly untouchable. Information

Limited Edition Halo 4
The Limited Edition for Halo 4 has been revealed for pre-order and is priced at $99.99. There will be no Legendary Edition for Halo 4 which in my opinion makes the purchase decision much simpler. Either we decide to get the standard retail game or the Limited Edition with the added bonuses.
Let's take a look at what has been confirmed to be included in the Limited Edition.
- War Games Map Packs - the competitive multiplayer modes in Halo 4 will be termed War Games. Owning the Limited Edition will give players access to all three map packs that will be released in the future, as soon as they are made
