Despite being released late last year, the PlayStation 4 has now been confirmed to have sold 6 million units worldwide. Thanks to the recent launch in Japan, the sales have been boosted a large margin, and the 6 million sales is a huge milestone for Sony.
Sony have pushed for content sharing on the PlayStation 4, SOE's vice president of marketing, John Koller, revealed that it's sharing features have been widely accepted. "There have now been more than 3.6 million live broadcasts, and more than 56 million spectate sessions on PS4 through Twitch and Ustream," John Koller revealed in a blog post.
According to Koller, A massive 20 percent of daily broadcasters are using the PlayStation 4 as their platform, which is pretty massive considering the PS4 hasn't even been out that for that long, and the new sharing features have made the PlayStation 4 a very sociable

Despite PS Plus now being a requirement for online play on the PlayStation 4, Sony aren't stepping down in any way when it comes to freebies and extra loyalty programs for PS Plus subscribers.
I've been a fan of PS Plus ever since the monthly free game rota was added, and since then I, along with many other PS Plus subscribers have picked up quite a few great titles for our PlayStation 3's and Vitas.
The details for February's PS Plus games have now been announced, however details aren't clear on whether these games will be strictly for Europe PS Plus subscribers, or whether North American PS Plus subscribers will get the same free games as well.
For PlayStation 4, the indie horror game Outlast that takes cues from games like Slender will be made available for free next month, but if that doesn't take your fancy, the roster for February's PlayStation 3 games should certainly get you excited.

The next generation of consoles is opening up opportunities for gamers to go digital and never put a disc in their PlayStation 4 or Xbox One again, but there is one very big problem that is getting in the way of a fully digital gaming experience.
This problem comes down to hard drive space, and new information from Killzone's Guerrilla Games proves this with hard evidence.
According to Guerrilla Games, the development team behind the next gen Killzone game, the Killzone Shadow Fall digital file size is a total of 39.7GB. Firstly, this is a huge amount of space as it is, and would take up close to 10% of the PlayStation 4's 500GB hard drive. Secondly, before Guerrilla Games worked on compressing the file content, the Killzone Shadow Fall digital file size was a massive 290GB.
In a few years' time once the new console generation matures a little, games will only get bigger and better, so it could

It seems Sony has run into another stock problem. Again. However this time it's not all that bad because instead of it being a real lack of stock, Sony are stopping pre-orders so that they have a decent amount of consoles available for customers who may want to buy it in-store or online after launch day.
Sony wants to be able to keep stock available throughout the holiday season and they believe that holding back stock now will help them to ensure that there are PS4's on the shelves every day.
"We want to make sure people can buy a PS4 on November 15 and through the holidays," SCE America's Jack Tretton said. "So, we're holding back some inventory to make sure people will be able to buy one.
"We can pre-sell every unit we can manufacture, and the good news is that production yields have been phenomenal. We're going to work very hard to make sure that every consumer that wants one gets one."
Hopefully this won't make much a difference

Although Call of Duty Ghosts will be released for multiple platforms with many different hardware specifications, Mark Ruben, executive producer at Infinity Ward, has stated that players of the new Call of Duty Ghosts game will get the best graphical experience possible for their system.
This means players with a gaming PC or a next gen console like the PS4 or Xbox One will be able to enjoy the full HD resolution found within the textures Infinity Ward have created for the game, but older and less capable platforms such as the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 will receive down-scaled versions that offer the best graphical quality possible without being too much of a drain on the resources available.
Mark Ruben directly said "What we've done with this generation change, especially for the art pipeline, that being the biggest difference, is we're making our big art assets at cinema quality, not even PC quality, but above next-gen. It's

Although we've seen a bit about Call of Duty Ghosts, most of the game has been kept under wraps. Seeing as it's a Call of Duty game it's quite easy to take a guess at what's definitely making it to the game, such as a leveled campaign, and an online multiplayer with a ranking system- most likely the same prestige system from previous Call of Duty games like Black Ops 2.
However, when it comes to new additions to the game, we're all out of guesses. It'll be interesting to see what game changes are implemented on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions compared to the current console generations.
To keep us interested till the release of COD Ghosts, executive producer of Call of Duty Ghosts, Mark Rubin, has released a quick sneak peak at what looks to be a new game mode for the upcoming COD game.
The peak is a small six second video that shows a quick look at the menu. The menu seems similar to the one found in Black Ops 2 and

Although we're still waiting for Lost Planet 3 from Capcom after their unexpected release reschedule earlier this year, it hasn't stopped the developer and publisher from working on more titles.
This includes their new Deep Down game, a title that previously little was known about. Capcom recently revealed this game with a teaser trailer, and it's certainly looking interesting.
So far the game is said to be an 'online game' so it could be possible that it is developed as a persistent MMO- something that has popped up a lot recently on consoles in games such as Defiance and Destiny.
The trailer shows hardly anything, shows no game play, and only plays some strange voices that all start to blend into one another until they all become one cacophony of noise that then leads to the end of the trailer with an explosion.
It certainly has got us thinking, but trying to work out what could come from this game at the moment is almost impossible to do.
On the trailer,

Whilst Sony has promised that they will reveal the release date for the PlayStation 4 at this year's Gamescom, it looks as if we may not need to wait to find out from Sony themselves.
We'll probably see all kind of leaks and screw-ups from various retailers across the board before Gamescom, and Wal-Mart have already done just that.
On the PlayStation 4 pre-order page in the item description section it says that "The PS4 console will ship free on release date this November."
Another date on the same page says that the console will ship by 12/31/2012, but it's most likely this second date is simply a placeholder.
It looks as if a November release sounds likely - this allows for customers to purchase the consoles in time for Christmas, but just in time for Black Friday.
Many gamers have talked on different forums and blogs and a lot of them have the feeling that the console won't even make it to shelves by release because of such a high demand for the console.

You may be wondering just what kind of accessories you may get when purchasing the new PlayStation 4. We already know that the Xbox One won't have an included headset, but whilst we were pretty sure the PlayStation 4 will, there's still no hard evidence on what we'll actually receive in the box.
Luckily, a rumor has spread showing just exactly what will be within the PlayStation launch bundle, and whilst it hasn't been officially confirmed, it certainly looks like the real deal.
The photo (shown above) manages to include the PS4 console, a dualshock 4 controller, a power cable, an HDMI lead, a USB charging cable, and of course the headset and instruction leaflet.
The headset is just a small in-ear headset that looks and feels a lot like the kind you'd get with a mobile phone- so whilst Sony did include a headset, I wouldn't blame you if you decided to buy a more comfortable headset instead.
The headset does seem to be

As we mentioned in previous posts Evil's laboratory is still brainstorming modded controllers for next generation hardware and one idea that has been sticking around lately is the concept of voice activated modded controllers. While users could still perform button combinations to activate our mods. One idea that the creator and founder of Evil Controllers has thought of, was voice activated modded controllers.
This idea is not currently in the works and may never be made, but it's an idea that is being given serious attention to in regards to modded PS4 controllers as the Dualshock 4 features a built in Microphone.
Would like you the option to say 'Rapid Fire Mod' in order to activate your rapid fire, or 'Drop Shot' to gain advantage of our drop shot mod? What other ways could we use voice activation to make your mods easier to perform?
With a unique touch pad added to the DualShock 4, Modded PS4 Controllers
