Sony-owned studio SIE San Diego Studios has released the reveal trailer for MLB The Show 20 this week, showing that the upcoming game may have a new focus on defensive play.
The game is the last iteration of the game that will be exclusive to the PlayStation platform, as the game will be coming to other platforms like Xbox and PC due to pressure from MLB on Sony. This new game looks fantastic and shows off even more detail on players and stadiums than ever before.
MLB The Show 20 will be launched on March 17th, which coincides with Spring Training but comes just before the start of the regular season. The game’s cover athlete this year is Chicago Cub Javier Baez, and he’ll be on the standard edition’s cover. New additions to the legends roster of players are also incoming, with the likes of Gary Sheffield, David Ortiz, and Mariano Rivera all playable within the game.

Nintendo’s uber-successful Switch console may be seeing a new release in 2020, as rumors are swirling that the Switch Pro may be incoming.
While the Switch is selling like hotcakes, the console is severely underpowered when compared to the likes of Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4. This has been evident with the likes of Overwatch, which has seen multiple technical problems while trying to emulate the performance of its peers. This has led to speculation that Nintendo will release a new version of the Switch that has increased gaming capabilities, with increased frame rates and resolution possible.
Taiwanese site DigiTimes claims that the production of the new console could start in the first half of 2020, with the device available for sale at the mid-2020 timeframe.
Nintendo has already released a new version of the Switch, bringing the Switch Lite, which is meant

PS4 racer Gran Turismo Sport is finally getting a wet weather course, allowing players to experience slick track conditions and we can’t wait to see how our controllers handle the action!
The new course is coming, but the game’s developer was coy about when a specific launch date would be coming. GT Sport debuted on PS4 in October 2017 but has been relatively bare in regards to the different weather features that previous titles have seen.
The wet weather course is being teased in a YouTube video, which features professional eSports racer Coque Lopez taking his turn around the track. You can see that video below:
Gran Turismo Sport is seen as a bit of an outlier for the popular racing franchise, as it doesn’t feature a huge library of cars that you can add to your garage as well as fewer tracks. With that said, the game

Thinking about going pro in Fortnite on the PS4 or Xbox One? The good news is that it is still possible, despite what other people may say.
Many individuals think that professional gaming, especially for shooter games like Fortnite, requires a mouse and keyboard for you to be able to compete at a high level.
Whilst it is true that a mouse will give you more precision and accuracy than a controller, there’s nothing stopping you from playing Fortnite competitively with a controller if that is what you are comfortable with.
To go pro in Fortnite, the easiest route is to build a strong following on YouTube or Twitch first. Live streamers are the first to get invited to Fortnite events these days. Once you’re invited, you’ll get recognition and the chance to fight for prize money just for working on your personality and stream quality.
Obviously, it’s not going to be an easy journey. Building up a stream big enough to gain the attention of Epic Games or other tournament

A brand new system update for the PlayStation 4 has been released. PS4 owners can download and install the new 5.0 system update now.
While moving to 5.0 sounds like quite a big jump, there aren't any significant changes in this latest system update. Unlike previous big OS updates for the PS4, the 5.0 system update puts a focus on backend fixes.
The visual changes are very minor, but we'll discuss what has changed below.
The biggest feature of the PS4 5.0 system update is the support for Twitch streaming up to 1080p resolution for those with a PS4 Pro. If you own a PS4 Pro, you'll be able to stream your game directly to Twitch at 60 frames per second and in 1080p resolution. You are now able to follow users in PS4's What's New feed. Previously, it was only possible to follow verified users from this feed.
A couple of changes have also been made to the notifications system on the PS4 5.0 system update. Starting in 5.0, PS4 owners can now prevent notification pop-ups

In the gaming world, two new types of controllers have started to emerge. Besides the standard official controllers, we now have modded controllers and pro controllers.
Understanding the differences between each of these controllers is sometimes hard, but the differences are important to understand. Whilst both modded controllers and pro controllers may share similar qualities, modded controllers can often include features that would disqualify players from professional events. Pro controllers, on the other hand, have advantages, but they’re perfectly fine to use in professional events, LANs and esports tournaments.
Programmable buttons and macros
Pro controllers can have additional buttons and button mapping, but they can’t give players any abilities that wouldn’t be available to a player with a standard controller. As soon as buttons become programmable, it’s considered a modded controller.
By programmable, we’re talking about macros and combos. If you can

The industry for pro controllers is growing at a tremendous pace, and it’s no surprise when you consider how fast esports is growing too. Many players are often confused about pro controllers and whilst they add new functionality over standard controllers they are not considered to be ‘modded’ controllers.
In this article, we explain why pro controllers are in fact not modded and why you can use pro controllers in tournaments or esports events.
On the surface, pro controllers come with a wide range of benefits - they have additional buttons, button re-mapping and the quality of the buttons, D-pad, joysticks, and triggers are often a lot higher than standard controllers.
There’s no denying that pro controllers offer better precision for skilled gamers, but they do not include any ‘mods’ or affect gameplay whatsoever.
On the other side of the fence, modded controllers have specific ‘mods’ that can be used to get an in-game edge over other players. These mods could

In this article, we'll be listing some of the best PS4 arcade sticks available. If you're willing to take your game to the next level, chances are one of these arcade sticks will be able to help whether you play Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat or any other fighting game.
HORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai
For just under $144, this PS4 arcade stick is conservative on the physical design, but it goes all out on features and performance. The stick on this pad is super slick, making it easy to execute moves. If you're a novice or a veteran in the esports world, the stick on the Arcade Pro 4 Kai will work wonders for you.
Our only complaint is that if you've got extra large hands, you may find that the layout leaves you limited on space.
Mad Catz Street Fighter V FightStick TE2+
Mad Catz has been in the game for decades now, so it's no surprise that their FightStick TE2+ is a great piece of kit. This arcade stick comes in at $229 -

In perhaps the biggest announcement of the year, The Last of Us: Part 2 has officially been announced.
We've all wanted it to happen, but none of us ever knew whether it would actually come to be. Thankfully, Naughty Dog has seen the love that was given to the first game and as a result, a sequel is now in the works.
We don't yet know much about the second game, although the game will definitely star Ellie, and Joel will most likely play a big part too. Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann has commented on the announcement of The Last of Us: Part 2 by saying, "In the first game, the theme was the love between these two characters... this story's the counter of that. It's about hate."
That's a pretty big spoiler for the plot point for the sequel. Obviously after the ending of The Last of Us, including Joel and Ellie again seemed like a brave move by Naughty Dog. However, they believe no other characters could have fit into a Last of Us sequel without it feeling like a completely

Respawn Entertainment is going to great lengths to get new players into the world of Titanfall 2.
Alongside EA's help, Respawn has now released a free trial for Titanfall 2 that will allow players to try out the game before purchasing it.
The trial has launched as a freebie for those with EA Access or Origin Access. Alternatively, those without EA/Origin Access can pay $4.99 for the first month, cancel their subscription and then use their first month to play the Titanfall 2 trial. The best option though, is for players to wait till December 2nd and pick up the trial for free - at this point, even those without Origin Access will have the ability to play the trial on PS4, Xbox One or PC.
The Titanfall 2 trial will end on December 4 - after the trial ends, players will be able to purchase the game if they'd like to continue with the stats they left with. The trial will be limited to multiplayer, but there will be no content restrictions and the trial can be played without
