Call of Duty Might Be Slowing Down in its Sales
For some time now, it was very common to see that the new Call of Duty game would always outsell the last one. But things might have changed. As of this year, Modern Warfare 3 has sold less copies than the last Call of Duty title, Black Ops.
According to this news at Kotaku, analysts at Macquarie Equities have been tracking internal sales figures for the series for some time now. They recently have noticed that copies of MW3 are trailing sales of Black Ops by "around 4.2 percent".

The Next Generation of Playstation Consoles Will Not Play Used or Past-Generation Games
Reliable sources from Kotaku's and GamesIndustry.biz indicate that Sony's next console will be ready for a holiday 2013 launch and will be called the Orbis. It's not clear if this is a codename or not, though the practice is common. Also, it's worth noticing that orbis.scedev.net does exist, and that was the way people found out what the Vita was going to be called.
Both sources also reveals several pieces of key information: Orbis will play PS3 games and it's new new hardware will be designed to block used titles from playing. Meaning that any copy of a game you get from Gamestop will no longer work in this

The popular gaming website IGN has recently posted a blog concerning the possibilities for a PS4 in 2012. The information comes from a Taiwanese manufacturer, who has allegedly leaked information that the Playstation 4 is on track to be available sometime in 2012. This information is tantalizing enough, but it gets better, much better. The Taiwanese source also boasts that the PS4 has a built in motion detection device, much like the Xbox Kinect. This takes the possibilities for Playstation gaming to whole new heights, and assuming that the rumors are valid, it is incredibly exciting news for the Playstation community.
The validity of this claim is debatable, but in the spirit of progressing the gaming industry, the addition of motion control to the PS4 would be an excellent new product. The Playstation already competes extremely well with
