Microsoft is pretty well known for slandering it's competition, and recently they've really tried hard to make their competitors look like insignificant wastes of time, despite being a fair way behind their competitors in the industries they are working in.
In the gaming industry, I have a feeling we can expect a lot of PlayStation slandering campaigns to go ahead over the next few years, but that's okay, because Sony usually has a witty thing or two to say back.
The most recent of these campaigns offers those who want an Xbox One a path easier on their wallets. To be precise, Microsoft has offered to take your PlayStation 3 off of your hands, in return for a $100 discount card on a brand spanking new Xbox One.
Microsoft may have admitted that the Xbox One is priced higher than the PS4, and this looks like their first measure to try and make their price a little closer to the

The MMO industry is a funny one - it's filled with games that from the eyes of someone unfamiliar with the genre will look almost identical to each other. The term "World of Warcraft clone" is given to pretty much every traditional MMO out there, and this lack of originality may be finally bringing the chances of succeeding with a new MMO in the typical environment to a halt.
That's why a lot of new MMO's are starting to take new paths - for example, last year's MMO third person shooter Defiance teamed up with the SyFy channel to create an ever-changing live action program that would evolve over time depending on the actions of those within the MMO game.
It was a nice concept, but despite being traditionally different than other MMOs and even being available on consoles, the game didn't really receive that much traction.
The Elder Scrolls Online seems to be taking the same cross-platform approach as Defiance, and although the Elder Scrolls series has a huge devoted

For some of you, news of concept art might sound a bit boring. It's one of the major milestones in game development though, and you can usually get a pretty good idea of how a game is going to look through concept art.
Some new concept art has been shown of Dragon Age: Inquisition, and I'm pretty happy to see that the world is shaping up to be pretty magnificent.
The graphics on the previous Dragon Age games have never been stunning, but they've certainly never been bad enough to put you off playing the game, and I expect that Dragon Age: Inquisition will have graphics that are slightly more impressive than the previous title, even if it has been announced to be released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, along with next generation versions.
The concept that has been shown gives us the impression the Inquisition will take place in the same grimy & mythical environments as the previous games, and a lot of the huge open atmospheric spaces that you usually find yourself stumbling

The Last of Us has been one of the many PlayStation exclusive titles that truly rocked it last year, however, with it being on the end of a generation, it left some gamers stuck between purchasing the game and saving for a new PS4 game upon the console's release later on in the year.
Because of this, it's been pretty commonplace to hear players asking for a PlayStation 4 port for the Last of Us, and Naughty Dog may actually be considering it.
It's not a definite yes at this point, but it's certainly not a definite no when it comes to a PS4 port for the Last of Us, and instead we're greeted with a "We'll see what the future brings" from community strategist Eric Monacelli.
What this suggests is that Naughty Dog aren't quite

From the moment, PlayStation 4 was revealed it was obvious that Sony had learned from all their past mistakes made with the PlayStation 3. Although obvious, this observation was supported by what SCE CEO Andrew House had to say.
In a recent interview with MCV UK, House admitted the rough ride Sony went through during the early release of the PS3. But they didn't just try to deal with the problems, the learned from them. The valuable feedback that they received from the community is what they used:
"Anyone can point out how those learnings have translated into the decisions we've made around PS4 -- selection of architecture, emphasis on

Well I bet this question was on the minds of several gamers, and might even have been sought by many. We already got both versions for several games including Call of Duty Ghosts and Assassin's Creed 4, so would it really be surprising to get a next gen port for GTA 5?
I mean no official news has been announced yet, and maybe even Rockstar is assessing the situation but we all thought at a point that GTA5 might be released for the next gen consoles. A big reason why a lot of us actually still hold on to our current games is also the fact that GTA5 was released on them.
During a recent interview with Lazlow, one the franchise mainstays, he responded to the question about whether gamers would see GTA5 on the next gen consoles. To this he responded with, "[they] haven't announced anything yet" followed by a wink which Lazlow explained was just a momentary reaction to a "seizure."
I mean at a point it is sort of inevitable. The new consoles

A new Grand Theft Auto 5 patch has been released, and it has what might just be the biggest glitch of all-time. Whilst early on in the release of GTA Online, the game was filled with hackers, money was a pretty abundant thing.
Many hackers would infinitely increase their payroll, go into servers and just payout cash to other players in the lobby. This ended up with thousands of players owning the best houses, cars and weapons within a few days.
Fortunately, Rockstar solved this issue, and largely removed everybody's excess cash from their in-game bank accounts, but it looks like we may see another influx of highly valuable items because patch 1.22 has an interesting flaw in it that allows players to receive infinite amounts of money.
To pull off this glitch, you will need two players. One player will need to head to the tuner shop and mod up a car to be as expensive as possible. Once the car has been modded, players can then leave the garage.
Now that your car

Well I don't think fans would really mind if Assassin's Creed took a year off. The fact that a lot of them were not happy with the idea of Assassin's Creed 4 coming out so quickly was subdued because the game was good, but fear is rising that this franchise is turning into Call of Duty.
But lo behold, recent rumors suggest that Ubisoft might not be just coming out with one, but two Assassin's Creed installments for 2014. One of the games are supposedly being developed just for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U while the other is being developed for the PS4 and Xbox One. In addition to that, the franchise is supposedly attempting a "massive re-scope"

Well if you're one of the lucky ones to have a PS4 then you don't have to worry. But those who have yet been able to grab one, you might still have to wait a bit. Sony is having the sale of their lives and it seems regardless of their plans of constantly restocking retailers, the demand is far from being met.
During an interview with the Gardian, SCE CEO Andrew House said that Sony doesn't expect that they will be able to fulfill demands until even February. He said, "So I'd characterise it as being somewhat supply-challenged for the remainder of the calendar year, but hopefully we’ll be able to satisfy that pent-up demand as we get out to January and February."
As of now, despite the unavailability, Sony expects the PS4 to outsell the PS3 within the firs fiscal year. Since its launch in November 2006 till March 2007, the PS3 sold a total of 3.5 million units. Standing by their initial assessment, they are expecting that the PS4 will sell 5 million units during the

Finally, we get a glimpse into one of the most anticipated exclusives for the PlayStation 4, The Order. Most of us were sold the moment we saw the steampunk-ish universe. DualShockers recently revealed this bit of info from a Japanese cinematic trailer which showcased these new bits of information. Some of the key highlights are listed below but make sure to go to the site to get all the details.
-- Suddenly, mutations appeared in the human genetic code. While the change wasn't immediately visible, some began to show traits similar to beasts. This turned them into a species different from humanity, and marked the birth of the half-breed (half man, half beast).
-- Although mankind had the advantage in sheer numbers, it was inferior to the half breed because of their resilience and overwhelming regenerative powers.
-- At last, after a few centuries passed, humanity is presented with a chance to retaliate. Brave men and women vowed
