Thanks to extended support through crowdfunding, Capcom has managed to bump up the Capcom prize cup by an additional $90,000.
The new Capcom cup prize funding comes from the Capcom Pro Tour DLC pack. Featuring CPT costumes and a CPT stage, a portion of the revenue from the DLC pack was promised to be invested into the 2016 Capcom cup.
It's now been confirmed that so far the initial $250,00 prize pool will be increased by an additional $90,000 thanks to the Capcom Pro Tour DLC pack. According to Capcom, they believe they'll be able to add roughly an additional $60,000 by November, which will make a total of $150,000 from the DLC pack.
This will also mean that the full prize pool will sit at $400,000.
For those that are interested, Capcom has confirmed that 30 percent of the Capcom Pro Tour DLC revenue will go straight into the prize pool, while 50 percent will go straight towards the product of the Capcom Pro Tour. By that logic, roughly $250,000 will go towards

John Takeuchi is a Street Fighter player that came into the spotlight from out of nowhere. Now, Takeuchi is reaching his next from support from the /r/kappa subreddit again.
r/kappa is a subreddit on the website reddit which is filled with a community of dedicated Street Fighter fans. The community has often come together to fund trips for different players in the past and recently they have taken it upon themselves to 'sponsor' John Takeuchi.
The last event that the community at /r/kappa funded for John Takeuchi was the 2016 First attack tournament. Takeuchi took the funding honorably, absolutely smashed the competition and came out on top with a victorious win against GO1 in two best of three series in the grand finals.
Now that John Takeuchi has landed back on home turf, the /Kappa crowd are looking to fund John Takeuchi again. This time, Takeuchi needs $950 to get to The Fall Classic 2016 event in Raleigh, North Carolina. With Takeuchi being on the other side of

John Takeuchi has taken the win at this year's Street Fighter First Attack event. Whilst John Takeuchi hasn't seen any major international wins before, he has been considered an up and coming talent to keep an eye on and this latest win seemed like the perfect start to a great future for the player.
John Takeuchi has quickly taken the hearts of the community, and in fact, it was through a community fundraiser that helped Takeuchi to get out to the First Attack event in the first place. With thanks to the community, Takeuchi not only made it to the event, but he took the win and came home with the hearts of many.
Takeuchi was breaking all sorts of first-time records, not only was he the first person I've ever seen to get such great support from Street Fighter fans, but he was also the first person to ever get a win with Rashid at such a big event. There's no denying that John Takeuchi's skills as Rashid are something we've never seen before.
It wasn't an easy battle

Arman "Phenom" Hanjani has taken his first Street Fighter V Premier win at the Dreamhack Summer event earlier this month by pulling in an impressive 3-1 victory against Ai "Fuudo" Keita in the grand finals.
Whilst Fuudo did a good job at winning himself into second place on the Winner's Finals, the Grand Final saw Fuudo at a loss. Even with Fuudo's hard pressed attempts, Phenom outplayed Fuudo with an impressive showcase of skill and unpredictability.
Phenom's victory was fast paced and filled with constant, non-stop attacks. It's almost as if you could feel everything Phenom had worked so long for all come out at the perfect time. Phenom managed to take a few other top ranking Japanese players down with him as he climbed the tournament rankings too. This included Mago and Reiketsu.
Remaining almost entirely in the winner's bracket, Phenom managed to pull off the first European Premier victory since EVO 2014, where Luffy won with a hard earned victory whilst playing

It looks like we may be getting Injustice: Gods Among Us 2 after all. Recently, a poster which seems to be leaked material for the upcoming sequel to Injustice was posted online. Whether or not the artwork is real or not is hard to confirm at this point but as you can see above, the quality of this artwork is exceptional.
It seems crazy to think an individual would go out of their way to create a poster of this quality just to fake a leak like this. But if you're not entirely convinced, we have some information to add further legitimacy to the image.
This poster hasn't just appeared from one source - multiple sources from various GameStop retail stores across the US have shared this online. Some sources have gotten in touch with online gaming news sites including Kotaku, Polygon and Game Informer. Plenty of the websites seem to cite different sources so it seems very likely that this poster really is sitting in the back of hundreds of GameStop stores across America.

The next Street Fighter update will be adding some new content for Street Fighter V and it will be paving the way for the next DLC character, which we all know will be Guile. For a while, however, the exact landing date for Guile hasn't been known. So when exactly can we expect to see Guile in Street Fighter V and how will he work as a DLC piece?
Guile has been around for a long, long time so it's definitely pleasing some fans (and potentially frustrating others) to see him make a return in Street Fighter V. Not only has Guile made a name for himself in the main Street Fighter story arc, but he's been in plenty of other crossover titles too, including Marvel x Capcom and Street Fighter x Tekken. So Guile was previously announced as DLC but fortunately he will be available for free to all players until the Zenny shop opens, at which point we're guessing players will have to pay points for him.
Guile will have his own Character Story and set of trials too and to sweeten the

A brand new trailer has been released for Street Fighter V and it showcases all of the 16 launch characters that will be available once the game is available. Out of the 16 characters available at launch, 12 of them are returning faces whilst 4 of them are brand new to the franchise.
F.A.N.G is the first of the four new characters in Street Fighter V and is an assassin who uses poison to attack his opponents. The second new character is Rashid. This character is obsessed with technology and has the ability to create small tornadoes.
The third new character introduced to Street Fighter V is Necalli. Necalli is a name of Aztec origin so this character could potentially have a Mexican or South American origin. The fourth and final new Street Fighter V character that will be available at launch is Laura - this character uses electrified Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Below, the full list of Street Fighter launch characters has been provided, including the new fighters. Keep in mind

Even though Capcom hasn't announced the first DLC characters in 2016 yet, they have already confirmed that there will be more DLC characters released after the first wave.
In a recent interview, Capcom's brand director Matt Dahlgren mentioned that Street Fighter V will have a second wave of new characters. Capcom seems to have a strong long-term plan for SFV that could involve a lot of DLC content. This DLC plan could include a new Street Fighter V character every two months after launch if everything goes smoothly.
Dahlgren stated that "We don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves." Dahlgren continued by stating that they think they're" going to watch how things progress."
"We do have very ambitious plans for Street Fighter 5 and a very long term strategy. We'd like to continue as long as we can, but we'll have to see how the product does," Dahlgren continued.
On top of the paid extra content, Capcom will also be giving Street Fighter V a lot of free support.

After months of teasing and game trailers, the release date for Street Fighter 5 has finally been set. Street Fighter 5 has been anticipated by fans for a very long time now so it's great to see the date finally being revealed.
So when will Street Fighter 5 be released? The game will come on February 16, 2016 for North America and Europe. Other regions have not had their release dates revealed, but if you're in a region that usually gets releases near the time of North America and Europe, then you can expect to see Street Fighter 5 around February 16 next year.
On top of the February 16 release date unveiling, some DLC information was released. It was mentioned that 6 DLC characters would be released in the following 12 months after the launch of Street Fighter 5. It was also revealed that Dhalsim will be in Street Fighter 5 - it's expected that he'll be a playable character at launch.
As for the rest of the fighters available at launch, we're not quite sure about this.

M Bison has just been revealed by Capcom in a brand new reveal trailer for the character. The new trailer shows off a few other Street Fighter V characters before showing the new M Bison. Unsurprisingly, not much has changed to the character, but M Bison has had a nice re-texture to meet the higher quality graphics that Street Fighter V features.
M Bison originally made his way into the Street Fighter franchise in Street Fighter 2 and as you can imagine, he has stuck around ever since.
So far, we're still not very sure about the confirmed lineup for Street Fighter 5, but M Bison makes his way as the fourth confirmed character. Before M Bison, players were introduced officially to Ryu, Chun Li and Charlie.
It's likely that we'll see a large roster of character we've already seen from Street Fighter titles in the past and if we're lucky we may see a new face or two as well. Unfortunately Capcom has chosen to reveal each character separately so it may be some time before
