New details have emerged about a planned update that will add a bit more customization to the Xbox One dashboard.
Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, has recently confirmed that the Xbox One will soon be getting new options for custom backgrounds, along with talking about other plans for the platform, in a new TiC podcast.
During the podcast, Phil Spencer mentioned that backgrounds, screenshots and themes will be coming to the Xbox One soon, however Spencer failed to mentioned exactly when this would be.
When asked about the Xbox One UI and the likelihood of seeing background and profile pic customization options, Phil Spencer replied with, "You will see it, I'll announce it here - I was told themes and background pics are something we're working on, and screenshots -- people beat me up about screenshots - I know people like to customize the look of their dashboard, we're going to deliver them, I can't give you a when yet."
By the sounds of it, a lot more UI customization

A brand new set of official gameplay videos for Advanced Warfare have leaked, each showing different elements of the multiplayer gameplay associated with the game. The first video shows off a brand new remote turret score streak reward. Players will be able to place down the turret, find a quiet place to hide, and then activate the turret to control it remotely.
In the second video, a new medal awarded in multiplayer is shown - the video shows a player getting into a large battlesuit and then killing a player to be rewarded with the "terminated" medal.
The third video also shows off a new medal in Advanced Warfare. This medal, named Death From Above, will reward players who manage to use their jumpsuit to leap above somebody's head and take them down with a knife kill whilst airborne.
The final video shows off the new remote turret score streak reward again - however this time it focuses on the turret weapons which can be ripped off of the turret and used on foot.

Whilst Tom Clancy's The Division has been known as an 'MMO FPS' for some time, new details have emerged that suggest the game will take a similar approach to Destiny when it comes to multiplayer content. In a new Gamespot preview, it was revealed how players would be locked in to their own world, apart from other players in many cases, however there would be certain areas, named Dark Zones, which would allow players to interact with each other.
In the Dark Zones, players could choose to attack or avoid other players in the same area, however once out of a dark zone, you will not come across other players in the same fashion.
It seems as if the multiplayer and social aspects of the Division have been made to a point where players can enjoy the campaign and mission aspects of the game without being interrupted by a bad player.
However, there will be opportunities for players to interact with each other, which opens up an almost living feeling to the open world. It's an

There were many key multiplayer components that never made it into Destiny, including voice chat, and a decent matchmaking system, and whilst these features were not added at launch, Bungie have suggested that such features may eventually be added if the community requested them.
One of the mentioned features included a proper matchmaking system for the raids in Destiny. So far, it can be difficult to find a decent group of players willing to complete a raid, and some players have voiced their frustration about this.
One of the most popular raids at the time of writing is the Vault of Glass, but without a group of friends to play with, it's proven difficult for some players to complete, considering that there is no matchmaking available for this raid.
Bungie talked about this issue, and described that whilst they would like raids to be more accessible, some of the stories of players interacting with one another are a reason why matchmaking wasn't added into the game

Agent Locke is a new character to the lore of Halo that will make his first appearance in the live actions series, Halo Nightfall, however, the actor that plays Locke suggests the character will play a big part in Halo 5: Guardians as well.
In fact, according to actor Mike Colter, the man who plays Agent Locke, the main protagonist in Halo 5 may instead be Agent Locke instead of the Master Chief.
Colter revealed in a recent interview with X-One magazine that "I'm a playable character in Halo 5." Colter went on to explain that, "Once Halo: The Master Chief Collection is released, and then Halo 5 comes out shortly thereafter, you're basically going to be playing a game with me as the primary character.
"I'll have some cool weaponry, and some cool abilities, because by that time I'll be a Spartan IV."
"What's not known, is whether I'm a friend or foe," Colter suggested. "The relationship between Master Chief and Jameson Locke is going to be interesting. Because what's -

Microsoft have just announced a brand new controller for their Xbox One - it has been branded the Xbox One Mini controller, and as the name suggests, it's a lot smaller than the traditional Xbox One game pad.
The Xbox One Mini controllers looks like a thinner, shiner version of the Xbox 360 controller, and it will in black, green and a black green combo color. Whilst the price of the new controller has not yet been revealed, the release date has been set for October 17th.
The controller has been built by Power A, in co-operation with Microsoft, as an officially licensed Xbox One controller, however, in our eyes, it just doesn't look nice enough to warrant a purchase.
It's likely the new Power A officially licensed controller will be slightly cheaper to offer Xbox One players an opportunity to grab more pads on a budget, but when it comes to controllers, we feel it's important to go big or go home.
The new Power A controller will be wired, and no wireless option

At EGX this year, Ubisoft held a developer session of upcoming Tom Clancy’s The Division, showing off in-game footage, screenshots and details of the game's progress.
If you have been interested in the Division at any point, then I'd definitely suggest checking it out. Ubisoft have been working alongside developer Massive to create Tom Clancy's The Division, and it has long been one of my most anticipated games for the new generation of consoles.
After the huge hype following Watch_Dogs, it's easy to be way of whether The Division will live up to what it's trying to portray, but the 20 minute developer session really does the game justice, and I hope that the game will play like that in the hands of the average gamer.
For those unaware, Tom Clancy's The Division is aimed to be a new third person MMO game with cover based shooter elements. The game will focus on a world that portrays the vulnerability of the society within the United States, and follows events after

There has been a lot of controversy behind the idea of DLC - whilst the concept of extra content after a game's launch is pretty much universally accepted, developers who release games with the sole intention of incrementally releasing paid-for content following the games launch is often frowned upon, especially when the content has already been created before launch.
This seems to be the case with Destiny, a brand new collaboration by Bungie and Activision. A new glitch has revealed what looks to be new areas of the game currently not accessible by players.
Whilst it's not confirmed that this glitch shows off DLC content, it's certainly not available in-game legitimately as of yet, so Bungie are either deciding to add it in later for free, or as part of the DLC packs.
For Earth, players have found one new Strike mission and four new story missions, located in the North East section of the map.
For the Moon, two new strikes have been found, and a level 28 high

I have started to quietly anticipate the release of the Xbox Live Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus free games each month, and like clockwork, each month new games are announced, and thousands of players bag a bunch of titles for free.
This month, Microsoft has announced a few new games for the Games with Gold promotion, some of which players may enjoy.
The first title released as part of the October Xbox Live Games with Gold promotion is Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and whilst this game is now incredibly old, when compared to the lifespan of the Xbox 360, it is still a great title, and if you haven't played it, I'd definitely suggest giving it a try. Many old school Battlefield fans have named Bad Company 2 the last "good" Battlefield game, but you'll have to make your own mind up about that one.
Bad Company 2 will be available to download for free till October 15th, and a day later, Darksiders 2 will be put up for free. Darksiders 2 is another old title, but it's
