Japanese video game retailers like Geo are no longer supporting the Xbox 360.
Japan has been somewhat of a taboo place for the Xbox 360 when it comes to sales. Despite the fact that around the world the Xbox 360 is just as common in a house as a toaster, the console never really found a standing in Japan. Its been a long time coming, and now there is light on the horizon for fans of the famed Diablo series. Blizzard has recently opened an online community for Diablo 3, featuring forums, videos, guides, and much more to satisfy the needs of Diablo gamers.
It gives Diablo fans the opportunity to get together before the release of the game, and plan out their battle strategies long before the fight begins. From the looks of it there is still no solid release date planned for Diablo 3, but one thing is certain: the new online community brings us one step closer to the action.

Gears of War 3
Since the release of the first Gears of War (Mad World) trailer came out, I thought that it couldnt ever be matched. Yet, when the trailer Ashes to Ashes for Gears of War 3 released over a year ago we all just sat in amazement. However, that was not the only thing that got me excited about Gears of War 3.

Ubisoft-France uses a three-story Enzio to end a "war" with a local French bank.
Back in May, a female staff member at Ubisoft France's office took a number of yellow post-it notes and made a Space Invader on her window. Across the street, a staff member at BNP Paribas(a local French bank) saw it and "fired back" by making one of his own. Then she made another, and he made another in response.

Information regarding one of the spec-ops missions for Modern Warfare 3 has been released. The description clues gamers in to the high paced, intensive action that MW3 has to offer. Spec-ops has been a favorite among Call of Duty fans for awhile now, and its diverse missions make for a more engaging gaming experience. Everything from stealth missions, to wave defense, to tactical missions have been featured in spec-ops, and Modern Warfare 3 is guaranteed to continue the legacy.

id Software states that you must buy a new Rage if you want to use the sewers.
A number of publishers are cutting off game content with things like online passes (one-time use code that be generally unavailable to those who buy any game used). Usually this cuts off things like online multiplayer or highly praised game content. In this case, Rage won't.

Analyst Predicts Good September due to Gears of War 3 and Madden releases
Mentioned here on The Escapist online magazine, Arvind Bhata, an financial analyst with Sterne Agee, stated that while July was probably one the worst months in the video game industry and August not looking too bright as well, September will be a large improvement with the release of big titles like Gears of War and Madden 2012.
