Usually, patches are made to fix things, but sometimes they end up creating more problems than there were in the first place. This seems to be the case with Call of Duty Ghosts on the Xbox One, which recently had an update pushed to the game that has caused some performance issues.
Seeing as FPS and video quality was pretty much the big topic around the time of Call of Duty Ghost’s release, I could imagine that this will be quite a heavy blow for any Xbox fans out there, while PlayStation fans don't need to worry.
I’m on neither side of the fence, and would happily enjoy playing on either console if there were games out there to make it worthwhile. However, this new patch has definitely not made playing COD Ghosts on the Xbox One worthwhile, and I feel bad for all of the people that have already paid full price for the Xbox One copy of the game, and maybe even more on top of that for DLC or season passes.
So far, the frame rate on the Xbox One has been pretty

It has pretty much been confirmed up to this point that Titanfall, at least the first game in the series, has been announced to be a Microsoft exclusive. This means that it will only be available on Microsoft platforms.
So far, a release has been set for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC, and although many Microsoft representatives have already stated that it will be a lifetime exclusivity, many others aren't so sure this is the case.
One of the main reasons why I personally doubt Titanfall will stay on Xbox for the duration of it's lifetime is because EA have too much of a good chance to bring in both a huge revenue, and a massive player base if they aimed for the PlayStation 4 as well as the Xbox One.
So, unless Microsoft are paying a heavy load of money EA's way, I'd say it's very likely that future Titanfall games will be cross-platform.
I'm not the only one that believes this either. In fact, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Brand Manager Alex Moyet

Whispers and rumors have suggested that there may be a Gears of War title in the works for the Xbox One, but previously it didn't really make sense for such a thing to come about. EPIC Games seemed to be pretty much finished with the series after the last title, Gears of War Judgment, which, unfortunately was a little bit of a let down for most Gears' fans.
If you're dreaming for a new Gears of War game on the next Xbox, your dreams may actually come true. It has been revealed that Microsoft has paid Epic Games for the rights of the Gears of War franchise. Not just the rights, but every damn last right. This means that although there may not be another Gears of War game by Epic Games themselves, Microsoft now own the title, and have the power to make a new game whenever they want to.
It's very likely at this point that Microsoft do plan to make a new Gears of War title, it would be strange for them to buy the rights off

Upcoming first person shooter Titanfall may prove to be the next best FPS game, but it’s still going to be using the same scummy tactics that every published backed video game has been using for the last few years.
What I’m talking about is DLC - the extra content that you can pay for after you've already bought the game. Like many developers nowadays, Titanfall is already working on the DLC content despite the game not actually being out yet.
With EA at their back, Respawn Entertainment unfortunately don't really have much choice but to release extra purchasable content for Titanfall. At EA's Q3 earnings call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson has revealed that Titanfall DLC is planned, but that it would "evolve" depending on the actions and behaviors of the playerbase.
Wilson said, "Titanfall is a highly innovative game that's multiplayer drive and so we expect a lot of online engagement around that. We're planning extra content already for the product, but in the nature

One of the most frustrating things I've come across in matchmaking for beat'em ups is the terrible behavior some players use when trying to avoid ruining their perfect win/loss ratio. One of these tactics involves turning the console off at the socket when they smell the scent of defeat, and another one simply involves quitting to the dashboard or home screen.
When you're an innocent player trying to slowly make his way up the ranks, this can be an incredibly common and frustrating sight. Luckily though, Killer Instinct developers will be putting a system into their free to play Xbox One game to stop quitters and allow fairer gameplay.
The new jail system will automatically but players who have quit percentages higher than 15% into the "jail pool." That allows the player to get the occasional power cut or other problem go by unharmed, but will punish those who repeatedly abuse the game by quitting when near defeat.

Earlier this week, Microsoft released a brand new car pack for Forza Motorsport 5. The car pack, which has been named the "Smoking Tire Pack," was released on February 4th, and came with a total of 10 new cars to test out in the game.
The Smoking Tire Pack DLC has been set at a $10 price tag, and includes a wide range of high profile sports cars, including iconic cars like the 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo and the 2000 BMW Z8, among many other great vehicles.
Although you will have to cough up an extra $10 for the Smoking Tire Pack DLC for Forza Motorsport 5, if you actually want to use the cars in game, you will still have to purchase them in the marketplace by using the credits or tokens.
It has also been stated that you'll need to unlock them first, which should stop any new players jumping in with a brand new Maserati MC12 whilst other racers are still bumbling around with Mini Coopers and Peugeot city cars.
A lot of these cars range from releases

Microsoft is pretty well known for slandering it's competition, and recently they've really tried hard to make their competitors look like insignificant wastes of time, despite being a fair way behind their competitors in the industries they are working in.
In the gaming industry, I have a feeling we can expect a lot of PlayStation slandering campaigns to go ahead over the next few years, but that's okay, because Sony usually has a witty thing or two to say back.
The most recent of these campaigns offers those who want an Xbox One a path easier on their wallets. To be precise, Microsoft has offered to take your PlayStation 3 off of your hands, in return for a $100 discount card on a brand spanking new Xbox One.
Microsoft may have admitted that the Xbox One is priced higher than the PS4, and this looks like their first measure to try and make their price a little closer to the

There's been talk about it, and after the successful closed alpha stage, I'm pretty sure Respawn Entertainment would be happy to release a beta for upcoming FPS Titanfall. New information from a French retailer suggests that there will be a Titanfall Beta, and it could be available as early as next month.
Posters have been shared in the stores of French retailer Micromania that suggest the Beta will start on February 14th, just in time to give you an excuse for forgetting all about Valentines day. According to the French poster, the beta will run through to February 19th, and it will be exclusive to those who pre-order through Micromania.
As Micromania is in fact a child company of GameStop, it would make sense that once again GameStop has bagged the goodies for the next big shooter game, and beta exclusivity may be for those who pre-order from GameStop or Micromania.
Seeing as February 14th isn't really that far off, I expect there will be an official announcement

Hitman will be making a return to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and IO Interactive have unveiled some of their plans for the upcoming Hitman title.
IO Interactive has stated that players will see "a globetrotting Agent 47 at the prime of his career - the apex predator stalking his prey across the world, with the support of his long-term handler Diana Burnwood and the whole of the ICA."
IO seems to be focusing majorly on the reasons that made Hitman stand apart from it's competitors, and that of course comes down to the wide range of weapons that can be used to take out targets. Whether it's a playing card or the shoe off of your victim's feet, it's usually possible on Hitman, and IO are banking on this concept for the success of the next Hitman.
IO are hoping to go back to their roots and make the game feel more like the original than 2012's title.
