When Destiny was first announced, it gave us all the impression that Bungie were gearing up to release the game as a launch title for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, or at least a game that would make it to release within the launch window.
However, with Bungie being Bungie, things have been pushed back a little. Instead, both the full release and the BETA have been delayed to later down the line in 2014.
The final dates have been set as September 9th for the full release, and sometime in Summer 2014 for the BETA release. Interestingly, Bungie have also teamed with Sony to offer a timed exclusivity for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 players, however details haven’t yet been given on whether this exclusivity will be strictly for the BETA access or for the full release as well, and a date for the Xbox versions hasn’t been

Steam have recently unveiled plans to bridge the gap between computer gamers and console gamers by taking their huge library of PC games and plonking it on a brand new console. So far we've already seen images of the Steam controller, but this week new plans have been lifted on the actual console itself and a prototype for what could potentially be a $500 gaming console have been revealed by the manufacturers, IBuyPower.
IBuyPower is a gaming PC manufacturer that has gained a lot of traction recently, and it looks like Valve have laid it down on them to build and supply the console.
The first prototype surprisingly looks very similar to the PlayStation 4 - It has a blue light strip in the centre of the console and a very similar shape and build quality as the PS4, however it is white instead of black, but it's clear where IBP got their inspiration from.
IBuyPower plan to make two variants of this console, with one most likely offering higher hardware performance at

It looks as if both Sony and Microsoft have run into problems, and an increasing amount of reports are coming in about broken Xbox Ones and issues with the console.
Once again, it's unlikely there is a large volume of consoles with any issues at all, but the minority that are having problems are likely to shout about it, and that's why all of the current issues have been made aware of.
If you're having any issues with your Xbox One, use the summary to find out about how to deal with your problem.
Xbox One Blu-ray Disk Drive Problems
Microsoft has acknowledged the problem with Blu-ray disk drives not functioning properly and has offered to replace any consoles that have this problem. "The issue is affecting a very small number of Xbox One customers", Microsoft said in the statement. "We're working directly with those affected to get a replacement console to them as soon as possible through

Just like with the PlayStation 4's North American launch, Microsoft's new Xbox One console has managed to sell a total of 1 million units within the first 24 hours of launch.
This is some pretty interesting news, and despite all of the criticism Microsoft have received, and the fact that the Xbox One is more expensive than the PlayStation 4, this shows that there is still a strong audience out there for the Xbox One.
Microsoft made a statement to state that the Xbox One is now sold out in most retailers, despite other reports stating otherwise, however, the 1 million sales are most likely true at this point.
To match the demand, Microsoft hope to mass produce more consoles before Christmas. Xbox's corporate Vice President of Marketing and Strategy, Yusuf Mehdi, has an offered a statement saying, "We are working hard to create more Xbox One consoles and look forward to fulfilling holiday gift wishes this season."
Like mentioned above, we've heard a few reports

Despite Microsoft making claims that they have completely sold out of Xbox One consoles, just by visiting a few stores like Best Buy or Toys R Us will reveal that there are in fact many consoles still available for purchase right from the shelves.
We're not sure why Microsoft decided to say that all Xbox One consoles were sold out when it's clear that there are many still around for purchase, and although some retailers may have run out of stock, the Xbox One inventory is still pretty high.
Did Microsoft lie, or was it a silly mistake? At this point it’s hard to say but it's easy to assume that the former is the answer, however, let's not put too much focus on that and concentrate on the real problem.
Even though 1 million PlayStation 4 consoles were sold within 24 hours, it looks like Sony, unlike Microsoft, really have run out of stock, and according to GameStop, a lot of

If you're hoping to bag yourself a deal without having to deal with competition with other shoppers on Black Friday, you may want to hop over to Amazon because they have just temporarily reduced the price of some of the current available Xbox One games.
All three blockbuster Xbox One exclusive launch titles have been reduced in price; this includes Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, and Ryse: Son of Rome.
All three games will be reduced in price by $10, taking their $59.99 price tag to just under $50 bucks.
On top of this, these copies of the game are Day One editions, which means you'll be able to bag yourself exclusive content that will not be available to anyone other than early purchasers or pre-ordered copies.
For Ryse: Son of Rome this includes an exclusive box art and new unlockable gladiator items. The Dead Rising 3 Day One edition comes bundled with an exclusive box art as well, along with

Previous whisperings and rumors suggested that Take Two knew about a new Rockstar game that would continue a previously created franchise, and we speculated that it may be a new Bully game.
A new bit of information seems to hint that a new Bully game is coming, and this could mean we have a next gen Bully game in the works.
Although no announcements have been made, Take Two, the publisher backing Rockstar, have filed a new trademark with the name "Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit."
Although neither Take Two nor Rockstar have made comments on the trademark filing, it's pretty clear at this point that some kind of new Bully experience is coming, and when putting two pieces of the puzzle together, it makes sense that Bully Bullworth Academy will be a brand new game in the Bully franchise.
This trademark name has been filed for Europe, however a United States filing has not taken place due to there being similarities with another trademark name, Bully in

Despite Beyond: Two Souls lacking much actual gameplay, it is a fun game that has been tied into a deeply immersive story. It's an interesting way to create an interactive experience, but from day one, the developers' goals for the game were always clear.
Ryse: Son of Rome on the other hand looks like an enjoyable, brutal game that could take us and our controller as close to living inside of 300 or Gladiator as possible.
Unfortunately though, if recent reviews are anything to go by, Ryse: Son of Rome’s actual gameplay might be just a little underwhelming.
Crytek have been pretty well known for making amazing visual experiences, but under delivering on the actual gameplay

Along with Halo, Gears of War is one of the most popular Xbox exclusive franchises that help to paint a picture of the Xbox gaming experience for most gamers, and Microsoft seem to like the idea of having the Gears of War franchise continue on the Xbox One.
In September, Microsoft Game Studios Vice President Phil Spencer was asked whether Gears of War would make a return on the Xbox One. His answer was a short, "Ask Epic."
Phil has since been interviewed by IGN, and he has delved deeper into the possibilities of a Gears of War game on the Xbox One.
Phil said, "I want to find a great Gears game, and I thought we did a good job with Judgment but I don't think it hit the level of quality we saw in the previous games."
He continued by saying "I think review scores showed that, sales showed that, and I really think that we need to take a step back with Epic and think about - I don't want to
